The hotel’s location was great. It was right across the street from the market, which had great food. The staff was amazing and beyond helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it is within walking distance of the Hofbräuhaus and the Marienplatz. Honestly, a great hotel.

This hotel is a great location for exploring Old Town on foot and located right across from the fun Viktualienmarkt with lots of food vendors. The single business rooms are small and pretty bare bones but clean and adequate after busy days of sightseeing. The buffet breakfast was very good with good variety. The staff was helpful. The narrow hall of mirrors from the lobby to many of the rooms is disconcerting!

Wonderful location. Walking distance to Marienplatz and all of the shops. We really enjoyed being able to walk across the street to Viktualienmarket to eat and drink a variety of delicacies. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Munich!

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Living Hotel Das Viktualienmarkt. The location is excellent—within walking distance of many of Munich's top attractions, as well as numerous great restaurants, and cafés. One of the biggest advantages is the convenient access to public transportation. The hotel is just a block from a streetcar stop, making it easy to reach the train station, access car rental locations, and explore other parts of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They even assisted me with setting up the MVV public transportation app, which made it easy for us to purchase day passes and navigate the city. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Munich.

Overall the property was well maintained. Staff were hit or miss with certain staff kind and helpful while others not at all. Prior to my stay I noticed the room I booked for three people only accommodated two people. I worked with my booking agency and the hotel for resolution, totallying 10+ hours of communication; there was no resolutionor problem solving. No extra bed or room change. Nothing to fix their listing error. The rooms are small. There is no common area in the hotel and no amenities. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the hotel or stay again. However, the location was nice and within walking distance to local activities and public transportation, which was helpful.

Our room was very nice, the staff went out of their way to help us. We got there at 11:00am after a 8 hours flight from the US. We were able to get into our rooms right away which was awesome! Sebastian the door man was the nicest man! Very helpful! The location was great for us. We only spent one day/night in Munich and it was close to all the things we wanted to see easily. The market is right across the street which was fun to check out too. If we’re back in Munich, I’d definitely return.
