Really lovely hotel. Super friendly and accommodating staff, and I loved both the restaurant and the bar, too. Wonderful breakfast and very pleasant interior, beautiful Bavarian-style yet modern. Highly recommended.

Loved the Hotel Prinzeregent in Riem

Pristine privately owned hotel with highest quality facility and standards at affordable prices. Super easy access to public transportation. Parking available-be early or have to use underground garage at reasonable fee compared to downtown Munich. Breakfast buffet excellent with multiple choices and fresh products. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly, highly recommend.

ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT
Loved everything about the hotel! The ornate rooms, the beds, the bathroom, and especially the BREAKFAST!! A very impressive display of choices, all freshly made and delicious. The coffee machine was so high-tech, which comes with a touch-screen, providing multiple selections of high-quality coffee. (Gotta try out the cappuccino!) The indoor and outdoor dining areas were beautiful, and the service was superb. There's also a small playground situated across the yard with a slide, two swings, and a rope ladder. It was the perfect cup of tea for my kids while daddy and mommy sat around enjoying our true cup of tea. LOL. Yes, the tea selection was extraordinary as well, certainly serving not the usual teabags, they were genuine tea leaves. Just by looking at the row of labeled canisters on the shelf itself is exciting enough already. Brewing tea with a strainer inside a mug makes me so happy. My husband and I couldn't stop talking about our experience at the hotel. It was truly one of the highlights of our travel that we will never forget. We will choose to stay again if we ever get to visit Munich in the future.

Excellent experience despite minor complaint
Very clean and excellent service. Breakfast was especially fresh (real honeycomb!) Only difficulty was not being able to cancel our first night several days prior to arriving. We were told that we could not do that without canceling our entire reservation because it was done on Expedia — seriously ??

I like the location of the hotel, on a side street in a very charming small neighborhood away from everything. Despite its size, it has all of the amenities. I like the interior design of the hotel and the very friendly and helpful staff. The room was lovely.. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and a delicious breakfast was included.. I would be very happy to stay here on any future trips to Munich.

It is a pity that you found our breakfast overpriced. The value for money at our breakfast is very good. In addition to regional specialties, everything is provided that will delight the heart in the morning. Including all coffee specialties, tea and prosecco. A tip from us: if you know for sure that you want to have breakfast, book the room rate including breakfast. Here you have a small advantage as you book in the arrangement with the room. If you want to keep the option open for breakfast, this is a little more expensive. This can be decided spontaneously. Anyhow thank you very much for five points. The hotel lobby was under renovation and bit inconvenient. The parking entrance is extremely narrow. Don’t use the garage. It was nice to receive fresh fruits and deserts in the room.

Fantastic stay
I’d highly recommend this hotel! 15 minutes to the city center and very reasonably priced. The hotel staff was very friendly and the restaurant was delicious, as was the breakfast. Probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable.

While the lobby of this hotel was undergoing construction and finding the right place to check in at reception was confusing and a bit frustrating when we arrived, our room was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to stay a second night. It’s my understanding that the lobby construction will be completed by August 24, 2018 so that will make registration much more simple. The rooms we’re remodeled in 2017, I believe, and the wood floors, beautiful furniture, drapes, and wonderful colors ofthe fabrics chosen for the rooms make for a comfortable, cozy stay. The bathroom in our room was a fairly nice size but the shower was one of those corner showers and I always prefer a bathtub with a shower. Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing a remodel with substantial construction in progress. The Junior Suite despite it stating ‘sleeps 4’, only sleeps two adults and two little children. The Junior Suite we stayed in was on the top floor with a major part of the room having slanted walls and very low ceilings due to the roof line, making actual living space much less usable.

Perfect place
Great place. Close to public transportation (a must for visiting Munich), quite, authentic, great food and excellent breakfast buffet. If you don't care about the rooms being slightly tiny this is the place to stay!
