The staff was fantastic!! Everyday they greeted me with smiles and helped me with every question I had. The cafe is perfect and the room was clean and comfortable. Definitely stay here again!!

Hotel Frontdesk wasn’t very helpful when we asked about public parking because they wanted us to pay for their garage overnight price which was double the street parking cost. They gave us a key and we go up to our room only to find other people suitcases and things all over the room which kinda lets me think its not a very safe hotel. We then got our room switched to a smaller room. During the night there was a very loud knocking noise that sounded more mechanical that our neighbors. This knocking went on for a good portion of the night which we didn’t get much sleep at all. We told concierge in the morning and the just said oh well that’s too bad. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Costly for a cheap hotel
The door to the room was broken on the inside, and the room seemed old and not kept up. If you leave the window open, you'll smell cigarettes...guaranteed. I have never disliked a hotel more (in Germany) than this one. It's only close asset is the Ostbahnhof. Not a nice stay for too much money.

Very comfortable! Well-kept and not too much street noise. The hotel breakfast was a little pricey - if you're a light eater there are a couple great coffee shops in the area, including one almost right across the street. A bit outside of the main tourist areas but a short walk to the S train to downtown.

High price for a submarine experience
We stayed at Hotel Aurbacher during the Oktoberfest in Munich. We paid $200/night for a double room. However we did not expect the room to be a small for the rate we paid. Granted, this is Oktoberfest but thee bed was against the wall so either my wife or I had to crawl over the other to get out of bed. It wasn’t so much as “Goodnight Dear” as “Down Periscope”. There was also black mold on the grout in the shower. The staff was very helpful though. Our television was working so the night attendant brought in another TV set from another room. Breakfast was 12 Soros/person, which we did not take them up on. All in all, we would not come back, and certainly not at the price we paid.

Great place to stau
We had a wonderful time in Munich. The hotel Aurbacher was conveniently located to the buses and subways which made getting around to the sights very easy. There were also restaurants and grocery stores and coffee shops close by. The staff were friendly and informative. We would recommend this hotel !

Good hotel in Munich
I liked Munich best of all. The Deutches Museum, and Englischer Park were very nice. The hotel was very convenient to a local grocery store, a laundromat, and pharmacy. The U-Bahn was only a few blocks away. My son enjoyed the hotel's breakfast both days we were there.

Good hotel...not too far from downtown area... Right on the bus routes to go downtown or Octoberfest... Clean rooms and everything you need to be comfortable... If the price is right...go for it...

Old-fashioned hotel, complete with key-and-lock. Nothing too modern or fancy, but the service was excellent. 24 hour concierge who was very helpful!

Very friendly staff, very clean room and bathroom. Was there during winter room was warm, hot water, free wifi, didn't see a spider, maybe funny but important to me and probably to alot of women... 10/10

Nice hotel, a bit of a walk to the train
The hotel was nice, the staff was nice and the rooms were clean. My only real complaint was that I given a smoking room after requesting non-smoking which triggered my asthma. I was there in the winter and it was cold outside. The room heating worked great, but the hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the train station so by the time I got to the train, I was frozen! There is a bus stop closer, but depending on where you want to go, you may need the train.

Run-down but habitable
There were a few bad features but the room was comfortable enough and quiet. The room (which could be made up as a single or double) was quite small, and would have been a nuisance with more luggage on a longer stay. There was some evidence of wear - bubbles under the laminate surfaces, and chrome plating peeling off the taps - but it was functional. The free Wi-Fi was awful - very slow, and often disconnected completely. The TV in the room worked fine though, with many channels. Reception closes at 2200 but you can check in after that by knocking up the night porter. Breakfast isn't included and is pricey even by hotel breakfast standards. It was quite nice: the usual continental buffet, with bread, croissants, meats and cheese, yoghurt, also with scrambled egg and crispy bacon. The breakfast room looks over the Italian-style garden, which is a bit grim in Winter. You can't get dinner at the hotel but there are restaurants nearby.

This was a last minute booking and I only chose this hotel because of the availability. I'd normally stay much closer to the city centre. While clean, the room was tiny and the bed too short. German breakfast buffets are normally very good, but this one was not nearly worth the price.

So-so but location was not bad
Don't bother with the breakfast, it was very very limited. The area was very nice. 10 minutes walk from the train station that takes you to Marienplatz and the Central Railway station. It was actually quick nice to have a stroll. Everyone was friendly too. Wifi was unstable and slow.

Quite hotel with small room for me.
Had a friend staying over at the Hilton Rosenheimer Platz. Didn't want to spend the premium on that hotel so I decided to stay on a budget and the hotel met my expectations. The walk from Rosenheimer Platz was less then 15 min. And the neighborhood was clean and safe and quite. There is a bus stop right outside and a supermarket across the street. I asked for extra pillows and towels and had a great time. Bathroom was spacious and well equipped only room was small which didn't bother me. For Summers FYI no AC. But in germany you open the window. Matress clean. Linen etc. Spotless. Hopefully this helps.

If you just need the bare minimum...
If you need the bare minimum in a hotel, this one will suffice. Tiny room, even tinier bathroom. There was a large, sticky stain on the carpet in our room and several other surfaces that could've benefitted from a good wipe down. Nice neighborhood though.

The room was not to our expectation - no air-con, no hair-dryer and no slippers. Reception counter is not 24hrs as indicated. We were told that rooms offered for sale online are one standard size, either twin or single. Alternative rooms will be offered on site during check in with additional charges of minimum Euro15 per pax.

Fantastic....
Excellent facility. Very close to bus stop. Especially helpful was the evening staff who was thorough gentleman and very courteous and professional. Everything was perfect. Would strongly recommend.

Quite place near SBahn (all lines).Local pub, cafe
Pros: In a quite neighbourhood even at 1am in Octoberfest. Relatively near to SBahn station. 3 minutes away from local pub (very nice place! has enough space inside and outside). 1 minute away from cozy cafe (great place). No need to exchange transportation when arriving from / going to Munich airport. I needed a place to sleep, take a shower, leave my stuff. Most of the day were outside. If you want a quite place to sleep and travel fast to main attractions (Marienplatz, Karlsplatz few minutes away) this place is ok. There are 8 SBahn lines options in this area so waiting is no more than few minutes. Cons: The price, in my opinion, is a a little bit high. It is not expensive but in means what you get (I stayed in single room which was pretty basic) and the distance from metro (SBahn) it could be cheaper. It is not bad but also not a strong side: Distance from SBahn. About 7-10 minutes (I walk fast) away from SBahn (Rosenheimer) station. There are hotels that are much closer to SBahn/Ubahn stations. For me it was OK.
