A very nice hotel in a convenient location. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. A short walk from the metro (about 100m or so), which is just a few stops from central Munich. The local area is quiet. There are some nice bars / restaurants nearby, a convenience store and a small supermarket. The Englischer Garten (a huge park) is a short walk away. I stayed during Oktoberfest, so it was quite expensive at this time, but this is normal for Munich. Book early if you visit during this time. I would stay here again. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It is old fashioned rather than trendy, but that isn't important. It was a perfect location easy to get everywhere - walking distance to sights and subway very close and easy to get to the conference center. Couldn't ask for a better location, only 2 stops on the U-Bahn and walking distance to many sights. The mattress was very firm. The location was great for walking to many sights. It has an elevator as well as a staircase. The parking is only a ramp and limited.
