The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger table for the tea/coffee etc. Being oblong meant the layout wasn't the best. The food served at breakfast was very good. Staff were pleasant. Car park was small and a little difficult to manoeuvre in, depending on how others parked. Hard to tell which spaces belonged to the pub. There is road parking too. It was ok for the price. Great location in Much Wenlock.

Very characterful room, staff were most welcoming and made a lovely fuss of our little dog , as well as giving him a sausage at breakfast time. Nice to have a bath too. Excellent value for money, will stay again.

This is a very old building … 400-500 years old so bound to be some creaky floorboards etc…. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating regarding our early check in … breakfast was just lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
