"Hands-down the best place we stayed during our 2.5 week trip to Hawaii! Barry and Jim were wonderful hosts, we were greeted by Barry as soon as we arrived! "If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear."

Welcome treat was a great touch. The property itself was cool and definitely decorated in a unique, cool manner. "Every detail has been thought of! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need!! You really feel like you have your own private jungle bungalow. Slept like a rock in the comfy bed and the rain on the roof! Eric and Chris were SO great, wish we had more time to chat with them. next time :) It's super close to the park. Will be sending many people their way. Stop looking around and book this place!!"

"This place is awesome. We got in late, and Alan still met us with the gate open and was very welcoming. Property has an ac, but we didn't need it because there's always a nice breeze. You can hear the ocean from the property at night. Alan has thought of the little things like the charging ports on both sides of the bed that have USB, USB C, and a normal outlet. Alan is responsive to all questions, and has plenty of local recommendations."
