Mount Elphinstone Provincial Park

Nice pool and spa . Very quiet place in October

Let me start by saying that the hotel and the rooms were good for how much we paid. The location is great, quiet, and even though our room was a bit dated, everything was in working order. Having a small kitchen and laundry inside the room was very convenient, and allowed us to enjoy more of the outdoors as we planned. However, the communication could have been a lot better. Even though they messaged us multiple times with the same useful information (check-in procedures, garage info, etc.), at no point they mentioned that the pool and gym would be closed for most of our stay for a planned maintenance closure (even though they provided an alternative in another hotel, but that meant leaving the building) and that the room right next door to us was being renovated, which meant construction noises made it impossible to work from the room on Friday as planned. Since these were planned disruptions, it would have been great to be given at least a heads up before we booked, or at least as a part of the messages they sent after we booked.
