"Everything was amazing! The bathroom is bigger than the bathroom in our apartment sauna is an incredible addition, though we didn’t use bc it was plenty warm during our stay. 15/10 loved it"

Hotel Laxnes is located in Haholt which is about a 15 minute drive from Reyakvic. The views from the bedroom was stunning and there are plenty of facilities close by e.g. supermarket, pub and bakery. There is a bus stop just outside of the hotel and the number 15 and 6 go into Reyakvic, so it's easy to get into Reyakvic. The hotel was very clean and was cleaned everyday during our stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was always plenty to eat at...

Johanna who runs the apartments was the most helpful person ever, she went above and beyond I cannot thank her enough. The apartments were modern, spacious, clean & had everything you need such as cooking facilities which is a must in Iceland how expensive eating out is. A supermarket and bakery is across the road also a pizza takeaway. If you forget anything there is a box in reception to help you out. The huge windows looks over the mountains which is truly spectacular. A little bit out from...

When we first arrived to the apartment we were amazed at how beautiful and lovely it was, and the view from the room was gorgeous. The staff were so nice and friendly and we asked a lot of touristy questions and they were extremely helpful. On the first night we arrived our TV wasn't working (it needed tuning, as it was brand new), and it was around 7pm and the office was closed, i sent them an email hoping they'll be able to look at it in in the morning, but half an hour later there was a knock...

Accommodation was first class, even down to the robes and good glassware. Had a minor problem with toilet, I emailed them and within hours they had it repaired and serviced the room. Top class service.

Nice hotel in a convenient place for getting around. Very clean and spacious room with good beds for a family of 5.
No kettle but there was a coffee machine in the reception. No actual staff at hotel though very helpful via text message.

This hotel was great value for money - out of the busy city centre but easily connected by bus (about 10-15 mins). Most of the main tours did hotel pickups from here so if you are planning on using day trips, its very practical. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hotel, clean and well maintained. Staff were superb! Although there is not a restaurant in the hotel (just an excellent breakfast) there are several restaurants within a hundred metres of the front door. Location is not central but taxis available within a couple of minutes to take you downtown. We chose it for both price and close proximity of the cruise terminal.

Amazing room and very comfortable bed. Great shower and very welcome coffee and tea available all day and night in the breakfast area. Couldn't have asked for more

Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner.
Location wise, it's a quiet road just at the eastern edge of downtown, so just a few minutes walk away from various shops and restaurants. Also about 5 minutes walk from bus stop #12 which seems to be one...

Lovely, small hotel. Rooms modern, stylish, very warm and wonderfully clean. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive - nothing was too big or small for their kind attention, efficient. Continental breakfast plentiful and fresh, tea and coffee available in small but stylish lounge 24/7.
I want to go back in the summer and will book this hotel again and have no hesitation in recommending it to all my friends.

Good location, close to shops and ideal for a stopover when continuing a longer journey. The room was clean, and the additional, very clean toilets just outside our room were handy. Access to a washing machine and tumble dryer was also a bonus.
The only disappointment was the lack of communication about a room change. The access code we were sent didn't work, so I had to call the property to resolve it, which was inconvenient and potentially costly as an international traveller. Overall, a...
