Immersed in a large private park (1000 sqm) of oaks and holm oaks, the property boasts a well-kept garden with lawn, and a parking area for 4 cars. A covered loggia extends the entire length of the villa, and you will find: a lounge area (with sofas and various seats), and a dining area (with a table for 14 people and barbecue). Next to the loggia there is a beautiful hot tub, ideal for relaxing surrounded by nature. On the back of the villa you will find another dining table for 8 people, and a wood-burning oven, excellent for preparing tasty pizzas with friends. The outdoor spaces are embellished by a fantastic pool (9 x 5 m), open from May to September, and equipped with an outdoor shower, deck chairs and parasols. Moreover, at guests' disposal a lovely vegetable garden with fresh vegetables and eggs. Internal Description Spread over 3 floors, Villa la Quercia is internally furnished in an elegant and refined style. It can sleep up to 12 people, has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Upon request, it is possible to accommodate up to 2 additional children, for a maximum total of 14 guests. Internet Wifi is included. All bedrooms have air conditioning. Pets are allowed on request. A baby bed and a high chair are available free of charge. Ground floor: You are welcomed by a large and bright living room with sofas, fireplace, tv, and direct access to the loggia. Following you will find another large living area, furnished with antiques, dining table for 14 people, sofa, armchairs, and double French windows that give access to the loggia. The lovely kitchen is fully equipped with: two dishwashers, oven, stove, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, refrigerator, tv, dining table for 6 people, wood stove, microwave. From the kitchen you have direct access to the back garden. Next to the kitchen there is a laundry room, equipped with washing machine and dryer. Also on this floor you will find a service bathroom, and 2 double bedrooms, both with ensuite bathroom with shower. Loft: From the living room a few steps lead to the loft, a spacious two-room apartment consisting of: a bathroom with shower, a large table with sofas, and two sofa beds (one double and one single). This space can be used both as a family room and as a tavern for games and entertainment. First floor: An elegant staircase leads to the upper floor where there is another living room with sofa, tv and fireplace. The sleeping area is made up of three bedrooms: 1 family room (with double bed, single sofa bed, 1 ensuite bathroom with bathtub and 1 private bathroom with shower), and 2 double bedrooms, both with balcony. Following is a bathroom with shower. Finally, at guests' disposal a bright gym equipped with: treadmill and other exercise equipment, tv, sofa, armchairs, and large windows that offer a panoramic view of the valley. It's small enough to perhaps be called "cute" but you won't catch me using this term. Monteriggioni began as a border fortress built on a round hill by Sienna against the Florentines. It is famous for the intact defensive structure that held up against repeated Florentine attacks in the 11th century; its 10 meter high walls and 14 towers can still be seen for miles around. Monteriggioni has been featured in movies as a typical medieval village. The village is slightly elliptical in shape with two gates (a third has been plugged). It has timeless beauty, modern conveniences, and impressive gardens. It is centrally located within a brief distance to Florence, Seina, San Gimignano, olive and wine farms with tastings, horseback riding and more.The villa is expansive and beautifully appointed with marble, grand chandeliers and exquisite furniture. Outside, the carefully tended gardens wander around the large pool, the hot tub, the wood ovens, and several large patio areas for outdoor dining. We enjoyed many large bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living room areas during our stay. The villa is beautifully cared for and managed, and we found our host to be available at any time and so informative and kind. There was no better experience than the Villa la Quercia while we were in Tuscany. We would give 10 stars! ##### Mark C. The location worked well for us, with restaurants nearby and a short distance to Siena. The pool was critical given the heat and we spent many hours enjoying the pool and it’s views. The bedrooms and bathrooms were accommodating, although the beds themselves could use a refresh. Manlio was friendly and helpful attending to things we needed. (If someone has mobility issues, they will find access to the pool challenging.) The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and dishes, two dishwashers, etc. The loggia on the front of the house overlooking the valley is spectacular. You will need to bring your own soap and may need to restock on toilet paper depending on the size of your group.
