The entrance of Apartment Il Corso is through a small reception area which leads up one small flight of stairs into a private apartment with a complete furnished spacious lounge. The lounge has 2 large sofas and original antique furniture. The floor of the lounge is made of handmade terracotta tiles and the original beautiful 18th century ceramic tiles. Il Corso has a separate fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for 4 people. This apartment has 2 double bedrooms with orthopaedic mattresses. Each bedroom has its own private en suit bathroom consisting of a toilet, shower, sink and bidet. The view from the two bedrooms, kitchen and living room face the daily life of the historical town of Montepulciano and down onto Via di Voltaia nel Corso and the famous Logge del Grano. This piazza is known as Piazza delle Erbe, which was the main market centre and economic focal point of Montepulciano in the 15th century. The Il Corso apartment is built in the second and final inner city walls where the Noble families lived during medieval and renaissance era. The accommodation has been reconstructed respecting the original architecture however all modern amenities have been installed for your comfort including air-conditioning, a large digital flat screen TV, a touch screen computer and high speed internet access (WIFI should you wish to bring your own laptop). Being situated in the heart of Montepulciano, you will enjoy the numerous local restaurants, bars and shops. Free as well as paid public parking is situated between 100 meters and 500 meters from the apartment however is not owned or managed by us. Il Corso is a self catering accommodation is owned by Sant' Antonio Country Resort and is situated in the Historic medieval town of Montepulciano, renowned for its Renaissance architecture, local cuisine, wines and olive oil. Il Corso apartment is situated a short 5 minute drive from Sant' Antonio Country resort. Being situated in the heart of Montepulciano, you will enjoy numerous local restaurants, coffee shops, enotecas, wine cellars, bars and shops. Free as well as paid public parking is situated between 30 meters and 300 meters from the apartment however is not owned or managed by us. Some of the local towns to visit within a short drive are Montalcino, Monticchiello, Montefollonico, Pienza, Cortona, Cetona, Città della Pieve, Siena, San Quirico, wonderful abbeys including The Abbeys of Monte Oliveto Maggiore & San Antimo, San Casciano dei Bagni and numerous natural hot springs and spas. NB: Tourist Tax: A €1.00 (one euro) tax per person per day staying in any type of accommodation is not included in the accommodation rate. This tax will be charged separately at the end of your stay. All the apartments of Sant’ Antonio are self catering and are fully furnished with linen, towels etc and all kitchen utensils. Linen is changed twice a week or every 3/4 days. For extra linen and towel changes, a supplementary charge will be applied. Our office is open Monday to Saturday to arrange restaurants bookings, wine tours, recommend places to visit, hike and to make sure your vacation is memorable. Check-in times and directions: Guests are kindly asked to please check in at SANT' ANTONIO COUNTRY RESORT in Via della Montagna 8, MONTEPULCIANO between 3pm and 6pm directly at Sant' Antonio Country Resort in the country side where you will be welcomed, registered and we will take you in person to your accommodation in the historic town of Montepulciano a 4 to 5 minute drive away. Once you arrive at the main gate in Via della Montagna 8, you will see SANT' ANTONIO engraved on a travertine block as well as a small ceramic sign. Please ring the buzzer and we will open for you.
