Ober-Mumbach is a small, idyllic village on the edge of the southern Odenwald, where the Badische Bergstraße begins. The Badische Bergstraße is one of the most climate-friendly regions in Germany, and serves as an ideal starting point for your excursions—for example, the beautiful city of Heidelberg with its castle and old town, and many other sights; then Speyer with its cathedral and Technology Museum; Hockenheim with its race track; and Worms with its cathedral and Nibelungen Museum. Heading east from the accommodation, the Neckar Valley—about 19 km away—offers a wealth of castles. Since 2013, you’ve been able to go on an exploratory ride with our solar-powered railcar; the route runs from Mörlenbach to Waldmichelbach, through tunnels and over viaducts. From there, it’s 2 km to the summer toboggan run on the Kreidacher Höhe, where you’ll also find a climbing forest. Our town also offers nature lovers a wide range of opportunities to explore the beauty of the landscape, or let yourself be treated to culinary delights at one of our five restaurants.
