"The unit is clean, incredibly spacious, and very well appointed with everything you need: the main floor has a large foyer, a huge open dining nook/kitchen/family room area, a work desk, a laundry room, half bath and a huge deck to take in the views. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a full bath with plenty of storage space. The location is steps from the East Coast Trail and right over the water, so you can leave the window open at night to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There's a small general store a few minutes' walk away if you need any staples or beverages. We stayed here for 2 weeks over Christmas- Amelia had a tree setup for us, and the harbour was all lit up... a truly special time. Petty Harbour is a quiet fishing town with easy access to the Goulds for groceries, fuel & restaurants, and it's a short drive to Mt. Pearl for big-box stores or Downtown for all the touristy things on your list. St. John's has some amazing breweries that are worth a visit! Be warned: if you're from out West, the village is quaint, the people are friendly, and the harbour & ocean view can be mesmerizing- you may find yourself staring at the water for an inordinate amount of time, contemplating why you would leave the harbour to return to work, traffic jams, and sky-high cost of living. This place is a gem, we'd love to stay again!"

"The house itself was beautiful - exposed wood, huge windows, and every amenity you could ask for. But best of all were the surroundings you could see from those windows: the ocean was right outside, as were the woods and walking trails. The view from the house was spectacular, and at night we all gazed for hours at the moonlight sparkling on the ocean."

"Robert has done an amazing job renovating the property, there is so much attention to detail and the design is very well thought out. At the time of writing the photos don't do it justice. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant to spend time in. There are some interesting things to look at in the living area too, including local interest books, musical instruments, games, pictures and a curio cabinet. The location is quiet and picturesque for those who prefer to be outside the city but is still a convenient drive from shops, attractions and St. John's. It's located right on the ECT, convenient for hiking. I visited for a solo photography getaway in winter. Keep in mind many businesses catering to tourists close for the season. However, if you like the great outdoors there's still much to see in the area within a 1 hour drive and you won't have to deal with crowds."

"Wonderful home and property. Our group of 7 family and friends had a very special stay at Seal Cove on our first trip to Newfoundland. The house has everything you need and a spectacular view. Gordon was very nice to communicate with. We would definitely book here again!"

"Million dollar view was hampered by tall trees. Very deceiving. No closets, hangers, hooks or drawers (already full), to store our clothing. No practical hooks in the bathroom. Miniscule counter space in bathroom (a shelf would be welcomed). With the window in the main bedroom facing the road we were disturbed early in the morning (6am) by traffic noise (trucks, trailers, quads, etc.). Mattress sagged considerably in the middle."

"The property is wonderful. There were carpenter bugs but we co-existed wonderfully. The bed in the first front bedroom is very high (I am 5’4”) and I would suggest a springboard or small stool. The view is spectacular! All amenities were useful. I would definitely return."
