The home itself was spacious and comfortable. We loved the potent AC system, the large wrap-around deck with the grill overlooking the lot and lake, and the lakefront space itself. We were pleasantly surprised with how accurate the photos and the listing was overall. The lake was peaceful, the little beach area of the felt private, the fishing was good, the kayaking around the lake was great, and the views amazing. We also loved being so close to local businesses for food/shopping. We also appreciated this being dog-friendly and accommodating. We stayed here for almost a week but wish we stayed longer. The "highway" is basically a back country road and really isn't noticeable once inside and it feels like miles away when you are down at the sandy riverfront access. The home was amazingly well stocked, and we didn't have to buy many basics we have always had to stock up on at other rentals. The lake is very pleasant and calm with few motor boats to worry about. The site is attractive and private. The only concern is that the home is very close to a busy and noisy highway--some drivers got impatient when we slowed down to enter the driveway, and pets need to be watched carefully so they don't run into the road.
