"Property was overbooked, so we were relocated to another hotel. However, when we arrived no one from staff or owners was there. But I have to mention that owner was very helpful in founding us another hotel. Property in very nice location, on the beach, dirty corridors and not finished around, but has a very good potential. Also bar staff are very unfriendly, rude and did not seem to be interested in their job at all."

"I traveled to Erietta for 3 nights with my two daughters in October, and we had a great experience. The staff were welcoming, friendly and understanding upon arrival, and even had our room ready early. We felt safe and relaxed the entire time. The restaurant on site is open for snacks all day, and they serve the most amazing breakfast we've ever had included with a hotel stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and had a beautiful view of Kefalonia across the sea..the showers were so nice that even...

"Lovely stay at Filoxenia Hotel in Zante. The food was lovely and a good selection for myself and my friend and we are both vegetarian and vegan. The rooms are refurbished and modern. There is a lovely spacious pool area with sun loungers. The hotel is in walking distance of the nearby town where you can enjoy the beach. A few minor improvements could be made. Reusable plastic cups for the pool area would be very good, as these won't blow away in the wind and are more eco friendly. Some kind of...

Lesante Blu - The Leading Hotels of the World, Adults Only

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful new hotel. Amazing view from the balcony. Very good breakfast. Swimming pool, beach , restaurants , spa and fitness. They have everything you need."

Marelen Hotel

8/10 Good

"The housekeeping team did a great job of keeping our room clean and tidy however they are hampered by not having the right size sheets for the beds. A double bed is not 2 singles pushed together so when hotels do this the sheets do not fit making each nights sleep uncomfortable and annoying. Staff at the restaurant were welcoming and friendly and the buffet was always very well presented, re supplied and with lots of choice. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We did not use the pools but they looked well looked after. The hotel is very well located, just a short walk down the road to the blue flag awarded Kalamaki beach. The hotel is on the flight path for the nearby airport but this did not bother us at all. We had a hire car and there is a small free car park to use and there is space on the road outside also. We had an issue with the safe when we arrived and this was sorted promptly. We recommend this hotel."

Tzante Hotel Zakynthos - Adults Only

8/10 Good

"The staff were amazing and the level of hospitality made me feel like family. We were however quite disappointed with our room. The electricity was constantly tripping, the hairdryer they provided was making it trip. And if you had too many lights on at once the electricity would shut down too. The AC was quite temperamental and there was one day our room was stuck at 30 degrees but we were told by a member of staff that it was still cool in our room (?). Also even though we stayed in the more modern, updated rooms the sink kept leaking and it smelt of sewage."

Klelia Beach Hotel - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"The hotel and staff are great. Beautiful pool and hotel. What you don't know until you get there that this is for families with young children, and couples over 55 that don't want to leave the hotel. There is nothing in the area to do except to go to the beach, which does not have beach bars. But everything with the hotel is great."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Mikro Nisi?

The best area to stay in Mikro Nisi is the main village, which sits at the heart of the island.

This charming village is the main hub for visitors, with its narrow, winding streets leading to the small harbour. You'll find a selection of traditional tavernas serving local dishes, quaint shops, and a few bars scattered around the central square. The village is compact and easily explored on foot, offering a relaxed pace of life.

For couples seeking a romantic and tranquil escape, the main village is an excellent choice. You can enjoy strolls along the waterfront, dine at waterside restaurants, and experience the laid-back island atmosphere. Many accommodations here offer lovely views over the bay and the neighbouring islands.

Families will also find the main village appealing due to its convenient access to the small, sheltered beach just a short walk from the centre.

When is the best time to go to Mikro Nisi?

The best time to visit Mikro Nisi is during the shoulder seasons of late April to early June and September to October. These periods offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and excellent conditions for enjoying the island's natural beauty.

During late spring, from April to early June, the island is lush and green, with wildflowers in bloom. The sea is warming up, making it suitable for swimming and water sports by late May. Temperatures are comfortable, typically ranging from 20°C to 25°C, superb for exploring the walking trails and relaxing on the beaches without the intense summer heat. This is an ideal time for couples looking for a tranquil escape and opportunities for scenic drives and coastal walks.

September and October also provide excellent conditions after the peak summer rush. The sea remains warm from the summer, making it superb for swimming and snorkelling. The weather is still warm and sunny, with average temperatures between 22°C and 28°C, but the crowds have thinned out considerably. This period is particularly good for those seeking a peaceful holiday, with many local tavernas still open but offering a more relaxed dining experience.
