Nice apartment in Urb El Chaparral

This 1 bedroom vacation apartment is located in a quiet street on the property of a villa, whose garden and pool you can use. The apartment has a separate entrance and a private terrace with table and chairs. You enter on the first floor a sitting area with a chair that can be folded out into a single bed, a TV and DVD player. Right next to this room is a toilet with a sink and a washing machine. Stairs lead you to the second floor and the main area where you will find an open kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and 2 hotplates, coffee maker and toaster and a small dining table with four chairs and another fold-out chair. Next to the kitchen is a large bedroom with a king size bed, built-in wardrobes, a TV and DVD player. The bedroom has a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and walk-in shower. The bedroom leads to an enclosed terrace with two comfortable chairs, a stool and a table where you can enjoy beautiful tranquil views. The garden can be used indefinitely by you to play or relax.

The apartment has air conditioning and heating, WI-FI and shares a large covered terrace, garden and pool with the owners who live on site. The pool is heated with solar panels, so the temperature is 34 days a day from May 1 to the end of September. There is a barbecue for the exclusive use of guests.

El Chaparral golf course and the beach are both just a short walk away. Golf clubs can be rented upon request. The owners have two dogs, so this accommodation is not suitable for guests with allergies or no pet lovers.

Hugely disappointing.

Been going to the La Cala area for many years and never had a bad experience... until now. NOTE THAT EVEN THOUGH THIS PROPERTY IS ADVERTISED ON THE HOMEAWAY WEBSITE, IT IS ACTUALLY MANAGED BY A "PREFERRED PARTNER"... IN THIS CASE NOVASOL, AND IT DOES NOT COME ANYWHERE NEAR TO HOMEAWAYS USUAL HIGH STANDARDS SO IN NO WAY IS THIS REVIEW AIMED AT THEM. IF anyone is considering staying at this Villa then please PLEASE read the small print pertaining to "extras charged". For 2 adults staying for 6 nights, said extras came to over €160 euros... Including the hire of basic bed linen and a huge minimum cleaning fee which, for 2 people, is frankly utterly extortionate. Sadly we also felt very unwelcome at this property... to the point of not wanting to use the pool at all or sit outside for fear of upsetting the owners whose living accommodation you have to walk literally right past to access the second floor apartment (so much so that we actually vacated a day early) We absolutely hate having to leave a negative review... however, on this occasion, we feel others need to know what to expect when considering precious holiday time.
