"We had a superior room no glasses at all no bottled water no bin liners only two tea bags on complementary tray, bar was fine, breakfast was a mess not tided up & v salty restaurant staff uncommunicative as was the check out receptionist we would not choose to stay here again."

"We stayed at White Heather Barn in December 2024 with our 9 month old Labrador. The barn was lovely and fully equipped with everything you could need for a stay away. The barn is located up a private track with designated parking and long views of fields for dog walkers like us. The barn has been fully renovated to a very high standard and looks like a showroom inside. The hot tub and log burner are great additions and we certainly made good use of them! I would reccomend this property to anyone looking for accommodation in this area. The owners are only a text away and are a great help if you need anything."

"Had a good 5 days there using it as a base for meeting up with family. The staff were welcoming and very helpful The room was clean and large the bathroom was large and clean with all you need the beds are comfortable Breakfast was plentiful and cooked nicely The bar and bar food was good too , they do a nice salad and sweet potato fries. All in all I would this time recommend staying there"

"The cottage is near a park and shops. It's well equipped and comfortable. Parking is across the road in a neighbour's driveway. The garden is down a little path and enclosed, with some lovely flowers and garden seating. It is a good base for Matlock and Bakewell area and other attractions. The only thing that needs is improving are the mattresses in the second bedroom as I could feel the springs."

"Lovely stay at Juglans Barn , one or two little tweaks , mirrors in all rooms, some sort of curtain/ blind for the large front bedroom and a visitors book to write comments. Thoroughly enjoyable stay and wonderful reception from owners. Would highly recommend."

"Located 15mins from Matlock, this property is in an excellent quiet location. Beds comfortable, Hot Tub which was clean and perfect temperature the moment we arrived. Odd bit of maintenance Ive informed the owner about but did not affect our stay. Communication was constant throughout the stay answering questions we had almost instantly. Really nice touches like washing up liquid, condiments and small things you would not expect from a vrbo property. The games room which was a hit with my kids. We would come back and recommend "
