The facility can appear 'tired' to those used to luxury hotels as they struggle to keep up with maintenance of a largely wooden sprawling facility in a very humid tropical environment. It remains very nice and is by far the best place to stay in all of Micronesia. We always ask for an upstairs room with the lofted bai style ceilings. You still need a car to get around. Some restaurants offer a shuttle otherwise you are on your own. Hotel was a bit tired looking, but had excellent food options. Despite boasting about its reef, the reality falls flat. From the absence of shark heads in their signature cocktail to the dismal breakfast spread, it's clear they're prioritizing profit over quality. With a dwindling guest count, it's a glaring sign of their downward spiral. Despite friendly service staff, their refusal to accommodate guests, hiding behind rigid policies, speaks volumes. Insisting on a 3pm check-in despite low occupancy is just another indicator of their downward spiral.
