You appreciate interior design and architecture. You would like to be in the Centro historico district. Azul historico restaurant is downstairs. You would like a romantic stay. You like a perfect Mexican breakfast on a beautiful terrace. You like a property where the staff treat you well. You need a chance to relax at a rooftop pool with bar service. Why you shouldn’t stay here . You value peace and quiet. It’s in the epicenter of activity. Even though it’s an oasis, the speakers blare music from the street all day. If I were the owners of this hotel, I would pay the store on the street to turn it down. I was laughing to myself how this beautiful and charming property is a victim to a small business in the street that thinks loud music lures customers. But, It was quiet at night, so no big deal to me. Would stay here again! The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. We loved the breakfast with lots of different options. The pool area was very nice and relaxing and the roof terrace was really cool. It's a pretty small hotel, but that gives it a nice atmosphere. The rooms are a little on the dark side…an extra light would be handy. Most annoyingly, we booked the hotel for its pool, only to be unable to use it one night as the hotel had leased the area to a DJ, and it was not available to use for guests. Poor form. Then for the other nights, they undertook their annual maintenance, so it was also off limits. Very friendly staff and the hotel is at a great location to the historic center. The hotel is quaint and a beautiful mix of really old and modern. However, the lighting was a real problem. The room was very dark and the stairs so dark, that we had to use flashlights to walk on them.
