Great location, staff were very friendly and helpful, Rooftop terrace bar is brilliant with a great view of the grand canal and rialto bridge.

Lovely hotel, nice breakfast, good location. The staff were so helpful, thank you for a lovely stay.

Great hotel with helpful staff. Room was just as hoped, very modern & clean, whilst maintaining authentic old characteristics of original building. Very easy to get to from St Angelo water bus stop and 5-10mins max walking distance from San Marco Piazza-great location. Fantastic breakfast included served from 8-11am, perfect for those needing to catch up on sleep & not miss breakfast! Definitely worth staying!

Superb stay for my husband’s 50th. Service excellent, friendly and professional. Staff totally surprised us with a birthday cake, candle and prosecco at breakfast- thank you. Garden a beautiful retreat and a real bonus. We will definitely return.

Beautiful hotel & it's in a great location for Rialto Bridge & St Mark's Square so we would highly recommend. There is a free shuttle bus/water taxi from hotel pier that takes you to Murano where you are shown how they make the Murano glass. You are then shown round a very beautiful but expensive showroom. They then show you to the gift shop if you don't make a purchase but there is no obligation to purchase anything. Only down side to hotel was that you had to pay to go in the spa (€25...

Great location and a friendly host. 5 minutes walk from the main square with plenty of local places to eat.

Near train station. Room is clean. Service is excellent. Highly recommend!

Best overall position, easy access to the train station or coach park, modern building and decor. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

Wow - what a place!! We had the had the pleasure of a balcony overlooking the Grand Canal - which has to be one of our holiday highlights. Staff were absolutely wonderful. Having a coffee machine and non noisy air conditioning were big bonuses. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for making our stay special. Location couldn’t be better. We’ll be back!

Hotel, organised transfers to and from airport, incredibly efficient both instances, Check in very fast, reception took us to our great room. We asked for assistance with reservations and site seeing and the staff were always willing to assist Excellent service in bar and cafe, An expensive hotel, but you get what they advertise withiut exception, Absolutely brilliant. Pity more hotels were not like this

The welcome was warm and check-in was quick, efficient but remained friendly and the Reception staff spoke excellent English. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable with a comfy pillow. The bar staff were friendly with great English and were able to recommend a drink for me when I was undecided. Overall, I recommend this hotel with it being on the 4L bus route to take you into Venice. An added bonus is Mestre railway station is a 10 minute walk away if you want to go further afield.

Great hotel. Loved the breakfast basket every morning, really started the day well. Excellent location - not overly crowded with tourists (yes, I know...). Shower could have been better - it was hand-held only which was a shame. Great service though, and would totally stay again. Air con was nice and effective even in high temps.

To my mind, from the outside, a traditional looking Venetian hotel, decorated inside in a period style also. A well equipped bathroom too and all very good value for money. Breakfast is included. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The location seemed good too. A perfect first stay for us.

Amazing location, our room was upgraded without asking, no problem with extending our checkout time, friendly and most helpful staff. Breakfast could be taken on a terrace garden overlooking the grand canal, what more could you ask for.

perfectly located, very clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff.

We have stayed in many nice hotels in Venice but Charming House is certainly our favourite - all the comfort of the larger hotels, but much more personal and indeed 'charming'! For our 4 nights, we were given an upgrade to a 'charming' room in the DD694 annex (about a minute's walk from the main hotel). Our room (and all of the public areas of the hotel) was beautifully decorated and equipped. We had a wonderfully comfortable bed, a coffee machine that actually made decent coffee, wi-fi that was...

When you see people lugging their bags all over Venice you realise how wonderful this hotel is. Very close to the grand canal. The best thing about our stay was the very friendly staff and how welcome they made you feel. They all spoke English and that helped enormously.

I e-mailed the hotel asking for a canal view in advance after reading other reviews, and on our arrival the lovely receptionist showed us to our superior double, four poster room, with 2 large windows overlooking the canal, with gondolas sailing below, and the occasional sound of accordions and singing, which was fabulous! The room was spotless, bathroom too, good shower and fluffy towels. The location was perfect, 5 minute walk, if that, to waterbus and Piazza San Marco. We followed the...
