Very beautiful, quiet location with fields and farm animals. Amazing mountain views all around. Close to plenty of hiking trails. There was a general store on the corner down the road with a great selection of local products. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable inside and out. If you’re looking for peacefulness and seclusion this is the place! Check in process was very simple and the amenities were plentiful.
This was a really wonderful place. It's in a private, beautiful rural setting surrounded by fields with amazing views in multiple directions. Would absolutely stay again.
The property isn't far off the main road, and you wouldn't know it. This quiet location had plenty of space for my dogs to run around. The sheep in the neighboring field were a joy to watch. The house has all the amenities you need or want. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended a day. The property owner made that process simple. Highly recommend.
Great escape from the hustle and bustle of Denver. We came up to chill and to ski. Had a great time. This is a cozy getaway that will bring us back for fall leaf peeping I hope.
The cabin is beautiful inside and well stocked. Our dog loved the large grass yard to run and play.Sitting on the porch and hearing the water run in the creekwas amazing. The size of the master bedroom was incredible.
We loved our stay here! The house is gorgeous and has everything you need. We grilled on the back patio and ate outside on the picnic table while watching the mule deer in the pasture. Very quiet and gorgeous property.
This cabin is amazing. Comfortable, clean, and quiet. The location is perfect if you like a tranquil setting with the sound of a stream in your front yard. The gas fireplace on and the llama and sheep greeting us when we arrived were an added bonus. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Loved how quiet and secluded it felt while still being close to the local market. We were able to enjoy the stars and meteor shower at night and the 360 mtn views at night on the covered porch.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the log cabin. The grounds and the Property were in great shape. Very relaxing and quiet. The scenery was gorgeous. The llamas and the sheep were great neighbors ;-). The cabin was well appointed and comfortable. Thanks!
The log cabin has charm to it that is hard to replicate; this is authentic cozy, comfortable relaxation at its best. The rural setting is lovely, we felt tucked away guarded by huge trees, sung to by a chorus of birds and endlessly entertained by the weather. We want to return in fall
Location perfect.
A must is Mesa Bloom market.

This house oozes rustic charm. Set in a picturesque valley surrounded by peaceful animals and towering mountains, it was so easy to relax on the wrap-around porch. Modern conveniences are also tucked inside if needed. Would love to stay again and highly recommend to those venturing off the beaten path.
This was the best place we’ve ever stayed with VRBO, wife said “perfect”…..quiet, awesome porch with the vistas of the Grand Mesa, running stream, perfect get away for a couple, historic, the location is amazing, and the sheep set the mood, reminded us of Ireland. Just far enough from attractions, Palisade and Grand Junction. We’ll be back ❤️
Driving up to the cabin, I was in awe of the beauty of it all and thought the pictures definitely didn’t oversell this absolutely lovely spot. We enjoyed our stay very much and loved the market as well. Evenings were beautiful and peaceful. We made friends with the llama too lol. I would definitely recommend this property just make sure you understand the loft bedroom. We did so no surprises. Ty was great too. It was just a really enjoyable stay and extra special with the history and beauty of it all.
Historic cabin with just the right amount of modern amenities, great location, beautiful mornings and evenings spent on the porch and in the shade of mature trees. The daytime temps were in the 90s but the evenings were cool enough for us to open the windows and get a lovely breeze for peaceful sleeping. The evening sky was so dark we enjoyed stargazing and star photography. We had easy access to Grand Mesa and Palisade, each just a short drive away. Perfect place for unplugging and renewing our connection to nature!
We just had our second trip to the cabin in Mesa - me, my wife, our dog. It's become one of our very favorite getaways. We sleep so good, spend a lot of time chilling on the wonderful shady wraparound porch, watching the sunsets and stars. This time we made the half hour drive up to Grand Mesa and splashed around in the incredibly beautiful glacier lakes.
You can't go wrong here if you're looking to unplug and enjoy. Do make sure to stop by the market at the end of the street for groceries, coffee, and ice cream.
Oh, one thing: if you want to sip an adult beverage, bring it from out of town! There's one store in town but it's always closed and the selection is terrible.
Enjoy!
This property is truly outstanding and we are making plans for a return visit. We stayed for a week and had an excellent vacation in a beautiful part of Colorado. There were two of us with our dog and we all were very comfortable. The house sits in a park-like setting surrounded by grass fields with grazing livestock (9 sheep and one lama). As a result, the facility is extremely quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the rest of the house was very spacious with room to spread out. The presence of a small. but well-equipped market 1/2 mile down the road was a real plus. The close proximity to many diverse activities (Grand Mesa National Forrest, Palisades, Grand Junction, Colorado National Monument, etc.) makes it an ideal location for a Western Colorado vacation. Definitely the best VRBO we have visited to date! Overall, our visit could not have been better.
