It is with deep displeasure and regret I write these words with reference to my brief and extremely annoying stay at your hotel, Lancemore Crossley St. in Melbourne Australia.
I completely fail to understand this 9.4 'Exceptional' rating by Expedia, this comes nowhere close to a >9.0 rated hotel, let alone
even a >6.0 rated hotel. I have travelled the world over and my priority has been a comfortable stay in a pleasant environment.
Having arrived at this 'facility' on Friday Jan 26th for a 3 night stay, the sequence of events compelled me to check out at the earliest.
There was no one at the entrance to help me with my suitcases over several flights of stairs (I am over 65 years old), let alone someone at the door to greet incoming guests.
There is an awkward looking lift next to these long steps but no operator.
Weird street, weird name, weird entrance.
The check in area looked like a dinghy bar in a cheap motel. The clerk appeared to mumble with half the words unintelligible. Didn't seem to care whether I understood
what he was saying or not, just going through the motions.
Black is the theme of this hotel, if you don't care for black everywhere then this facility definitely is not for you.
As you walk into the room, the dark theme continues with almost a black carpet with sporadic spots of white. There is NO closet!
Right behind the door as you enter the room is a metal line with 3 triangular metallic contraptions which are supposed to be hangers.
