Also there were free endless amounts of drinking otptions and small snacks from the reception machine.. coffee, matcha, soda drinks etc, which made it that little bit more special. "

"Our stay at the hotel Vischio in Toyama was fantastic. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Toyama Station, making it easy to explore Toyama and beyond. Our room was very clean and featured outstanding mountain views, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the variety of great dining options available right within the hotel complex—especially on the 3rd and 4th floors of the hotel’s mall. It was so convenient to have delicious meals just steps away from our room. The staff were polite, professional, and always ready to help. "We stayed 3 nights. We had a room facing the river with two twin beds, a mall sofa and another small bed. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom also very clean with a toilet room and shower. The hotel seems fairly new and is nicely decorated. The room was very quiet and had good air conditioning. A free shuttle will take you to the Shirakawa bus station (which is right near the gassho zukuri) and pick you up on a designated schedule. Many of the staff speak English. We got the breakfast and dinner included in our room plan and the meals were all delicious. Many dishes were new to us. A mix of beef and seafood. The third night’s dinner was amazing with sashimi, Hida beef sushi, and lobster hot pot (seems the more nights you stay the more amazing the food gets). The staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Shirakawa overnight but not do a farmhouse stay."
