Nordic Village Cabin in the heart of Mazama

  • Summary:

This spacious cabin boasts cozy wooden interiors and alpine lodge accents with all modern appliances. The cabin is a 2 bed 2 bath home with a loft. Nordic Village can sleep up to 6 guests with use of the fold-out couches (one in the loft and the other in the living room). This purpose built vacation home is exceptionally well equipped and organised.

    The Space:
The Nordic Village Cabin is a 2 bed, 2 bath vacation home. In addition to the 2 bedrooms, there are 2 queen size hideaway beds (however, the total number of guests allowed is limited to 6). The kitchen has a bar with seats for 5 and the dining room comfortably seats 6. The living room space has a gas fireplace and a smart TV. There is a full washer & dryer in the mud room. The property has a larger covered deck and a large covered patio with space for outdoor dining on the picnic table. This purpose built vacation home is exceptionally well equipped and organised for vacation rentals; thoughtful features include air conditioning throughout, electric window shades, and even a back up generator

    The Neighborhood:
The home enjoys a prime location just across the road from the Mazama store and the Mazama Trailhead. Its also a short walk from the Mazama Public House (opening Summer 2022). Grab a coffee and pastry before heading out on the ski trails, or enjoy a pint and tacos in the store's courtyard after a summer hike.

If you are heading into the North Cascades National Park, its a 23 minute drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 25 minutes to Washington Pass and 29 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead (*drive times according to google maps), making this a very convenient location for exploring the North Cascades National Park with its many world-class hiking trails. Great for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons.

    Getting Around:
Getting here: May to November, from Seattle and the westside, you can drive over State Route 20 and Washington Pass (check WSDOT for closures). Alternate, and winter routes from Seattle are via I90, Snoqualmie Pass and Blewett Pass, or via highway 2 over Stevens Pass (check WSDOT for driving conditions). Combine these routes and you have the scenic Cascade Loop. The nearest major airports are Spokane International Airport at 180 miles (year round) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (190 miles in summer / 260 miles in winter). Regional flights are also available at Pangborn Memorial Airport in Wenatchee located 102 miles away.

Lovely cabin in a great location

Lovely stay at the cabin in a great location. Cabin was well appointed, clean and comfortable. It is ski in and ski out, just across the street from the Mazama store. Cannot beat the location for access to the Methow Trail system. Great communication with the property manager and easy check-in/check out process.

Spacious getaway

The cabin was beautiful, well stocked, and clean. Great location---we enjoyed running on the trails outside of the cabin and hiking on local trails. Can't wait to come back!

A great cabin, clsoe to everything

Wonderful place, loving maintained and beautifully equipped: the highest quality dishes and cookware we've ever come across in a rented cabin. Easy walking distance to the Mazama store and to XC skiing. With one unexpected feature: there is no sound insulation between the master bedroom and the rest of the cabin, as the wall between the bedroom and the living space does not go all the way to the high ceiling.

Nordic Cabin-modern cabin in great location

The Nordic Cabin was very modern with newer window, appliances, etc and also super clean and roomy for our family of four. Cooking dinner at the cabin after a day of hiking was a highlight especially with the general store around the corner (many natural, local alternatives for wide variety of diets).
