About this property
Deer Run Chalet - Alpine Style Retreat in Mazama
Summary:
Deer Run Chalet is a European style home in Mazama, nestled in a tranquil aspen grove with views of the meadows and North Cascades. The location has nearby access to the trails. Bright interiors feature Swiss style architecture with gorgeous wood floors and beams, and generous windows to fully immerse you in the landscape. The chalet sleeps 8, with a king bedroom suite that comprises the entire upper floor, plus a queen bedroom and a bonus room.
The Space:
Deer Run Chalet is a well lit space that was sustainably built using reclaimed materials and is packed with character. The open plan living space includes a well sized living room with picturesque views that opens into the dining room and kitchen, creating a great social space for groups. The dining room boasts a large solid wood table with seating for 8, and a well supplied, full kitchen with a sunny breakfast nook. A furnished, outdoor gathering space is situated on the front deck, off the kitchen. Privately located on the main level you’ll find the main bathroom with shower, guest bedroom with a queen bed and mountain views, and access to the ½ story bonus room with a full bed and two twin beds. The house has ducted heating and cooling, providing comfort at all seasons, as well as a wood stove for added ambiance in winter.
Upstairs is the primary suite where you’ll enjoy tree filtered sunrises and mountain sunset views from this uniquely designed open space. This suite is outfitted with a king sized bed and has an open air ensuite bathroom with a cast-iron clawfoot bathtub, and walk-in closet space. Also featured is a comfortable workspace with unobstructed Starlink internet, up/down blinds for privacy, and a private balcony for two with views into the woodlands. While the bathroom has a great view of the mountains, please note that the bathroom is open to the bedroom with only a privacy wall and curtain.
The ½ story bonus room features a double bed and two twin beds, and is accessed up a short flight of stairs from the main level. The washer, dryer, and hot water tank are also installed in this space, and while it feels private there is no door.
The elevated main level has views through the aspens towards the mountains, and a walk-out deck equipped with a propane BBQ and outdoor speakers that are connected to the sound-system (Bluetooth compatible). Choose this cabin for a quiet retreat with riverside access, and for its convenient location close to the trails and ‘downtown’ Mazama.
