"We had a lovely three night stay at Lancaster Cottage to see out 2025. The cottage was so welcoming and cosy - exactly what we were looking for. The decor and interiors really add to the atmosphere and make it feel like a home away from home. Katie has truly thought of everything, from games to all the helpful information you might need in the guest manual. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lancaster Cottage and would love to return."

"The property was great, very spacious with plenty of room for our extended family, 7 people total. Everything was well taken care of. The kitchen was very well stocked, and communication was great. Location was terrific, with lots of great shops and restaurants. One thing to be aware of is that there are several flights of stairs to get to the flat. That was a bit of a surprise, but we were able to manage it."

"This cottage is in the perfect location! Pubs in the doorstep, beautiful surroundings, easy access to local attractions. The cottage itself if very well maintained, well equipped and very comfortable. We came with a 2 and a 5 year old and the bedrooms were spacious! We used a toddler bed and this would have easily fitted in the main or the second bedroom. An option of a stair-gate would have made this even better as the rooms open directly into the stairs (as with most cottages). Stairs leading...

"This was basic accommodation with no frills. Ideal if you are just looking for something very basic to sleep and spending the evening in. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival. The kitchen had everything if you wanted to self cater for yourselves. The only person I spoke to during my stay was a stable hand. I never meet the owner. I would be happy to stay here in the future."

"Great cottage for a stay with dogs. Warm and cosy, wooden floors everywhere and a door to stop them going upstairs. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, huge beds with good bedding. Everywhere clean and tidy and really good to have a bath as well as a shower for a nice soak after a long walk. Also grateful for the detailed instructions from the owner how to find the cottage as we may have driven past the lane. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Matlock area...
