Find the Best Matlock Bed and Breakfast

"It was perfect for us - easy to get to and a great stop off on our way south. I know they are planning to upgrade all the rooms but ours was clean and cosy and just what was needed for a quick overnight. Althought to be fair we could have stayed alot longer as the pub was just as we would want an old English pub to be - traditional and modern. Oak furniture, fireplace,wee nooks, centuries of history and many chiming clocks...as well as all the things a good modern pub should have. We missed pub food as we were late checking in( rang ahead but late arrival was no prob ..not least cos the rooms are in several outside stone building conversions), but breakfast was great - landlord and bar staff friendly and up for a chat. The guinness was great and Inches on draught ! We had a really really lovely brief stay - unexpectedly so and so good that we will def go back. The menu looked great also. The photos dont do the place justice, but dont tell, as then everyone will want to stay there ; )"

"Stayed here with a group of friends. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. House was lovely and exactly what we wanted. Lovely big kitchen table for us to sit round and nice garden area to enjoy the spring sunshine. Location is excellent very close to all the amenities of Matlock but also in a quiet location. Fabulous walks available right on the doorstep. Would definitely stay again"

"Overall we had a lovely stay, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room (11) was clean with plenty of toilet roll and body wash. No hairdryer or extra sheets/ pillows which was disappointing. And the decor could do with being updated - ripped wallpaper, stains on cushion covers."

"We had a really great time here. Going anywhere with 2 young boys is always a worry with how suitable it would be, but The Coach House was perfect. They absolutely loved the bunk beds and the play area outside. We had more than enough space for the 4 of us. The cottage was well equipped for us to self cater for the week and it was lovely and clean. The location is perfect for exploring the Peak District including Matlock and Matlock Bath which is where we would also go to the supermarket. Nigel was an excellent host and really made us feel very welcome as well as the great family next door. We had a great holiday and are looking forward to the returning in the future. Thank you! "
