The rooms a authentic, beautiful, well appointed and very clean! The staff are extremely helpful and kind especially Samir who helped us with our heavy luggages. Their breakfast buffet selection is delicious. Parking is an issue in Matera but they reserved us a parking stall in a covered parking garage and contracted taxis to get us to and from the hotel. I highly recommend Cenobio Hotel!

Had a wonderful stay at Cenobio during our visit to Matera. The staff were incredible kind and helpful. They helped coordinate parking and transportation to the hotel, and everything was truly seamless. The room was clean and comfortable. Could not have asked for a better stay!

It’s a nice unique property. Staff is very helpful. The room was lovely but lots and lots of steps to get to. They did have a kind porter to help bring the luggage to the room and then all the way down to the square where the taxi was waiting to take us to our parking area. The breakfast was wonderful lots of choices. While the view of the hills is nice the location takes some time to walk to town including many many steps so be prepared.

Location, room and breakfasts were great. Pool was only available if you paid. At the cost it wasn't worth it. This was disappointing because I booked here because it had a pool. Still glad I did but wish I had known ahead of time.

If you’re looking for the cave experience this place is great, the room was very nice all renovated and very comfortable. A lot of steps but that’s Matera and close to dinning and shopping. The staff is great very accommodating and helpful with helping us navigate the area. Morning Breakfast was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again if we come back.
