Top Martins Park Hotel Reviews
The Francis Marion Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is a lovely old classic in the middle of downtown Charleston. I highly recommend it. The bathroom fixture are a bit aged but functioning well. Everything else was perfect."
Moxy Charleston Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"The room was very clean. Staff was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Enjoy my stay"
Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay. We arrived around noon and our room was ready and we were able to check in early. Since we had flown a red eye to Charleston, it was wonderful to be able to check in early and relax before exploring the city. Location was very good with delicious restaurants within walking distance. It is also close to the city’s free bus service."
The Charleston Place
10/10 Excellent
"I had a wonderful stay at The Charleston Place. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and very clean, with fresh flowers and beautiful greenery throughout the property that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The location is excellent, right in the heart of historic Charleston, making it very convenient to explore the city on foot. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and always made us feel welcome. I also loved the beautiful lobby and the overall attention to detail throughout the hotel. It was a lovely experience, and I would happily stay here again."
Hotel Bennett
8/10 Good
"This is a very comfortable hotel right in the middle of Charleston with lots of good restaurants, museums and historical attractions within walking distance. The staff is helpful, omnipresent and courteous. Not cheap, however. Rooms are reasonably priced but amenities can be costly. We liked our room, but some issue with water pressure and water running through cold water faucet never really got cold. Overall we would recommend the Bennett/ provided you are not on a budget! Complimentary car service was a big plus."
Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District
8/10 Good
"The cost cutting by the hotel chain is extremely obvious. Single ply toilet paper., eco toilets that are so loud they wake everyone up when you flush the toilet in the middle of the night. Special acknowledgment to Ben who set up the buffet every morning and was extremely helpful and able to get some water and bananas after the buffet closed down because my wife missed it."
Live Oak, Charleston Historic District, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
8/10 Good
"Kudos to Kevin for providing excellent customer service the morning we checked out. We booked through Expedia and chose a package that included parking at a lower rate of $34 while the hotel charges $49. They still charged us the $49 and we had to spend close to an hour through Expedia trying to figure it out. The young lady at front desk simply told us during check in that she never heard of paying for valet through Expedia and there was nothing she could do. The hotel is nice, you have to use valet as it’s downtown Charleston and parking in general is scarce. Room was spacious. They have a “resort fee” of around $35 as well. Location is convenient and walkable. We booked a high floor room and it was quiet. Restaurant closes at 9:00 pm which is rather early for Charleston."
