The hotel is new and nice. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There is a rooftop lounge area with a good view of the bridge. I rated it slightly lower for a few reasons.
Most importantly, they "upgraded" us to a double queen room. This was a room with 2 queens, feet to feet, pressed againt the wall. For a couple who wants to sleep in the same bed, the person at the wall has to crawl over the other person to use the bathroom. It felt like a dorm room. As of now, there's a random $40 charge, so I think they upcharged us.
Next important is location. I knew this was newer construction, but I thought the area around would be cleaned up, and thought there would be on site lot parking. The only place to pull in is directly at the valet location, so you're pressured to use the valet at $35/day, and trust me, you don't want to park anywhere around the hotel. We had a nice view of the homeless lady hanging out in her car all day on the side street.
And lastly is the location as it pertains to downtown. It's a little bit of a hike to get downtown, but this is not the fault of the hotel, and we were aware of it beforehand.
