The staff was welcoming and helpful. I stayed for two nights at the beginning of my trip to Morocco and the staff directed me on where to exchange money and where the best places to eat were. The riad was spotless and welcoming and the breakfast delicious. Everything was great. As an American woman I felt very safe. I met very few Americans while in Morocco and to all you Americans out there be sure to put Morocco on your travel list. We arrived after a full day of Hiking in the Atlas, and had to depart for an international flight by 4am. Simo, the desk attendent was super gracious on our arrival, friendly and attentive. He also had coffee and croissants ready for us at 3:30 am since we were leaving at 4\. Very pleased with this stay. Also, this Road was the most modern among the three that we visited, especially the Bathroom. We had great experiences at all the riads we stayed at in Marrakech but this was probably my favourite. Mohammed who checked us in was super friendly and funny and welcomed us with the usual mint tea and cookies. He accommodated our need for an early breakfast (before 8) and let us know we could use the small pool whenever suited us (nice since we arrived fairly late). Location is great, being just around the corner (2 minute walk) from Jemaa el Fna, but somehow entirely free from any street noise. Air conditioning worked great and the large double bed was indeed large and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice, clean and included shampoo and body wash. The small pool in the courtyard was fairly clean (compared to other pools we'd seen) and a couple of extra towels were laid out for us when we arrived. Breakfast included coffee, tea, orange juice, eggs and Moroccan pancakes and msaman (Moroccan crepes) and was served on the terrace upstairs.
