The small town of Marktschellenberg is situated between Berchtesgaden (10 km away) and Salzburg (14 km away) and serves as an ideal starting point for visiting many attractions, as well as for hiking, mountaineering, and cycling tours. Hiking enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy in Berchtesgaden. The national park invites you to explore its unspoiled nature. The well-maintained hiking trails lead every hiker—regardless of fitness level—to destinations well worth seeing. But our valley has even more to offer. The festival city of Salzburg (approx. 16 km away) offers music and culture even in winter, as well as a historic Christmas market in the run-up to Christmas.
