"Surrey Beach House has a lot going for it. The ambience and decor are lovely and you simply cannot beat the fantastic proximity to the beach. However, the overall experience feels heavily driven by profit maximization rather than genuine hospitality: Strict Upcharges: Charging an extra $25 per hour for early check-in or late check-out feels a bit greedy, especially given the already steep room rates. True hospitality would mean letting guests in when the room is clean and ready or granting a free extra hour or two on Sunday if no one is checking in right after. Zero Personal Touch: The entire stay had no human contact at all, making the property feel transactional rather than welcoming to us. Maintenance: We noticed the carpet in our room was visibly stained. It’s a gorgeous spot near the water but management could easily turn this into a truly memorable stay by relaxing the profit orientation and focusing a bit more on a human touch and true hospitality."

"Property was clean and well maintained. Lots to do at the Tropicana although we already had planned activities outside the hotel and could not take full advantage of what the hotel had to offer. When I book I was given one price for the two queens, but to get the two queens, I had to pay an additional 84 dollars for upgrade and resort fee along with a 30 dollar parking fee. I was not happy about that."

"We rented this property for a long weekend for my nephews birthday. We could not have asked for a more perfect setting or location! New, clean, perfectly laid out for each family member. The kids were able to enjoy the movie room and game room, while the adults had the first level to socialize. House had everything we needed. The host was easy to reach, communicated with us any time we reached out. Recommend this place HIGHLY!! We will be back next year for a longer stay. Thank you."

"Stayed with a large group for a long weekend and had the best time! The home’s location was unbeatable. We were steps from the beach which made our stay so flexible and easy. The house was well stocked and beach chairs and tags were provided. The hosts were responsive and helpful. One thing to note was that 2 of the bedrooms are through other rooms (2 sets of 2 attached rooms) - this was a bit of a surprise as it wasn’t mentioned in the listing, but we made it work. Overall great stay."

"Property is a wonderful location with easy walk to the beach, coffee shop, restaurants and even the movie theatre. It was spanky clean and obviously newly remodeled. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Communication with the host was seamless and appreciated. I would have liked to have known that the house was a duplex as it shares a wall with another family who on our last day were arguing loudly. Then again we had two small children who were up early!"

"Building is old, dates back to early 1900’s. Did some work to bring it up do date, but it is basically an old shore guest house. Minimum staff at the building. Building is totally air conditioned and it works great. Owners own restaurant next door and hotel includes free breakfast which was excellent. Also, during the day, you can go to restaurant and get free ice cream or water ice. Really nice. There is a self parking lot around the corner and you can take the car in and out. We enjoyed our stay; we were there with friends. There is also a second floor balcony that was really nice to sit on and socialize. Beds were comfortable. There is also a refrigerator guest can use. And they give you nice beach towels to use. Just wish it was fixed up a little more."
