Spend your afternoons waterside under our sail shade, fishing from the dock, or tanning from our loungers at our private canal lot. There was a little something for everyone…quiet property/neighborhood for relaxing, kayaking, fishing, etc. The property was well maintained and in a great centralized location in the Keys. The house was clean, checking in and out was easy, and the host was very responsive. Swimspa was a bonus. Close to great restaurants, a short drive to Bahia Honda State Park, and 1 hr drive to Key West. ##### Matt W. The property has plenty of room for 5 adults to spread out and it was very well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the swimspa and the screen porch! The master bed was so comfortable I asked the owner for the mattress topper info so I can order one for home. We really enjoyed the private spapool each night and spending time fishing on the dock in the mornings. We had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. ##### Kat A. The weather didn’t cooperate a few days but the house and accommodations were perfect. We saw manatees right behind the property sea wall. Close to grocery stores, gas stations, local restaurants. Loved the swim spa, loved the area underneath the house and the canal front. We went out on kayaks almost everyday! Easy to ride a bike to grocery stores or Sombrero Beach. Close to the 7 mi bridge. Canal empties into Boot Key, so there's some shelter in the water for your boat before getting to the ocean. Sitting area next to the canal is really nice. Swim spa great for 6 people as a hottub or cool it off for a small but refreshing pool. We ate most of our meals in the screen porch or in the area under the house. Kathy and Chris were lovely hosts. Instructions for checking in and out were very clear. Highly recommend. ##### Jan D. The relaxing area down by the dock was wonderful. My grandson had a great time trying to hook a tarpon that was in the canal all week. The host and hostess of the home were awesome. First time visiting the Keys and this property was one of the nicest we have stayed in. Very clean with lots of amenities ( kayaks, swim spa, gas grill, etc). Access to the canal and the use of kayaks was a huge plus! Manatees came right up to the dock several times while we were there!! Took the kayaks out to the mangroves and really enjoyed seeing the birds and sea life. The kayaks don't have seat bacs, but we used the lifejackets for that and that worked well.The only "negative" of the trip (and not anything owner had control over) was the construction noise coming from the canal one over from us...sounded like a jackhammer and it went on all day every day we were there. Didn't stop us from enjoying our trip, but was a bit annoying. ##### D S. It was immaculate when we checked in. Kathy, the host, was very responsive, and gave lots of great suggestions of things we could do with our time there. Our favorite part about the house is all the great outdoor spaces. You can hang out in the hot tub out back, sit in the screened porch, or on the lower patio in the shade. Our favorite outdoor space was the lot across the street that bordered the canal. This was a perfect place to unwind in the evening and listen to the fish jump or sit in the morning and sip your coffee. We even had six manatees come right up to the dock to visit us while we were out there. This is a great property, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to spend time in marathon. ##### Tom L. There is so much to enjoy on the property. The house was simply set up, with all the comforts of home. You do not need anything but your clothes and toiletries. The kitchen is fully-stocked, shower and beach towels are included. We spent our nights in the swimspa and it was so unbelievably relaxing after our busy days. We would listen to music, stargazing. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch. The sun rises on that side of the house and eating breakfast and reading were some peaceful moments we had together.If we weren’t in the house, we were across the street in the beach chairs or out in the kayaks. It was nice to not have to rush around anywhere. Kathy’s house is very close to Sombrero Beach, my favorite beach. We had a much needed, restful vacation and Kathy’s house perfected the trip. ##### Jill P.
