It is just a little over an hour to get to Key West going South or about 45 minutes north to Islamorada. One of our favorite places in Marathon to eat was the Steak & Lobster House, fantastic food! Their Conch fritters and conch chowder were wonderful. I would highly recommend this place. We enjoyed seeing it through our 10 yr. old grandson's eyes this week. And it was so well worth it. Fishing trip, visiting Fort Zachary Taylor beach in Key West, going to the Turtle Hospital and the aquarium in Marathon. The best and exciting event was going to the Dolphin Research center. Our grandson participated in a program where he swam and interacted with the dolphins! Our condo has a lovely little pool which was welcoming after a busy day! Our condo was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked - after getting some groceries, we ate in for breakfast and most dinners. Plenty of towels, beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the king bed suite was a bit low - we made it work. Most likely return next year - we truly enjoy Marathon. ##### Laura M.
