Mapenzi Beach

Place is clean but really basic and over priced. For 500$ a night you would expect absolute luxury but was really disappointed. The staff are really nice and friendly which was the only positive from the huge price paid.

The staff was helpful and friendly

The majority of the staff were wonderful, always smiling and happy to assist with anything. The booking system is frustrating and does not work if you have multiple rooms/ booked with family. This proved to be THE most annoying part of the holiday and it spoilt some of our evenings when we had to argue for a table for 3 people even though we had requested and it had been confirmed! It's quite a noisy hotel, with boisterous activities during the day, every day, which if we knew, we would have chosen a different hotel. The evening entertainment was very repetitive over the 10 days we were there.
