If you would look at our reviews on various other accommodation sites you would find that we rate very highly for friendliness and cleanliness. Hello, So what you liked were the ocean views, the pretty forest and acreage. You didn't mention that this is a quiet tranquil property with good facilities like bush- and rainforest walks, table tennis, tennis and archery. A library and games. Sure, we are not a "contemporary" hotel, or a motel with lots of action (and maybe noise at night). Our carpets were steam cleaned by a carpet cleaning company - as a matter of fact - only 2 weeks ago, so I can't understand how you can make such a negative statement. We - and many of our guests - are charmed with this European Alpine style, and it's not only for Europeans but from guests all over the world. I guess, we can't please everybody with this design.

We have a tag on the door that asks if you want to have your room serviced. You did not put this tag on the outside of the door. You could have also asked at reception. We do have enough lighting, but maybe - coming from the restaurant ..........

This guest booked a Budget room (double bed) at a special rate, but, because of late arrival we gave her a Free upgrade in a Deluxe room with a queen size bed, 4* rated Sleepmaker brand, only 6 months old. It discourages me to give away anything for free. Maybe her back was sore from the previous day's long drive.

Hello Anonymous, This is a traditional Swiss Alpine style building. I do not know how you can make a statement about its "Hay Day"? Seems to me that this building is in it's prime. Your constructive comments would be appreciated. Give us a call or email, please.

Dear anonymous, We appreciate your comment but have to state that we are not a Hotel or Motel, but a traditional European Country Guesthouse and as such we did not furnish in Chrome and Glass. Most of our guests appreciate our timber furnishings and folk art paintings. Most guests love the views from the balconies and ocean view verandah. Nearly everyone loves our heated indoor pool/hot spa, play tennis, table tennis and archery and the bush & rainforest walks. We have been accused of not having a bar and casino - but, alas - we do not want to have those on our tranquil property. Kind regards, Herbert.

Hello Anonymous, From the context of your review I can see that you booked a small Standard room at about $ 90 per night including a buffet breakfast and use of all resort facilities - the heated indoor pool & spa, full size tennis court, table tennis, archery, bush walks on our 82 acres and more. The Day Spa pamper treatments were available. I am sorry that you felt the room was too small for you. I am sorry that you thought the buffet breakfast was not sufficient and I am especially sorry that you obviously did not read the description of our property, rooms, services and facilities. P.S.
