Family friendly hotel with kids' club near beach

Posted 09-Aug-2015
Pros: Size; Choice of self-catering 3 swimming pools; Free kids' club and table tennis Sky sports in bar area, good bar food 5 minutes to beach
Cons: Size of kitchen and dining room Double sofabed instead of single
Location: Lovely beach Small resort Buses to Pollensa old town and Alcudia town (as well as other places) Lots of restaurants on sea front
We had a lovely 10 days self-catering at the Hoposa Villa Concha. The girls loved making things, playing swimming games, playing with water balloons and the disco entertainment all provided by the kids' club. There are water slides, a small round baby pool, and 2 other pools. The food at the bar was very good value. Sky sports is on the bar televisions if you request for it to be put on, so I enjoyed watching the Ashes! The apartment was basic but had everything we needed. It was a little small, so sitting down to the table required a bit of manoeuvring. The kitchen was very tiny and the door opened into the hallway and it had to be closed to open the front door. The kids slept in the bedroom, so my husband and I slept on a small sofa bed each. It was a shame there wasn't a double sofabed. It was nice that there was an entertainments programme, but not too in your face ie no microphone by the pool getting people to go into the pool for aerobics/no music blaring out all the time. There were options for darts/table tennis/water polo etc if you wanted to join in. We have stayed in Port de Pollensa 6 times now and would certainly consider going back to this hotel.

Hotel bien équipé. Personnel très sympathique. Je recommande la demi pension. Mobilier de la chambre un peu désuet. Bien placé. Bon tarif.

Great hotel for families.

Posted 24-Jul-2015
Pros: Location, facilities (especially pools and gym), evening entertainment, room layout.
Cons: Room was very clean but decor in need of updating. WiFi access in room very slow but OK in the lobby.
Location: We hired a car from Hiper (about 500m from the hotel). Most parts of the island are within an hour's drive.
Hotel located in a quiet street, 200m from the beach and a small general store. 10 minute walk to larger supermarket. Easy parking, access to shops and restaurants in the port. Room comprised lounge/dining area with two sofa beds and TV (lots of channels), separate self-contained kitchen with double hob, small fridge, cupboards, cutlery, pans, etc), separate bedroom with good quality mattresses. The air-conditioning was good and there was a safe for valuables. Four separate pools (one with small slides) to cater for all ages. Gym and separate training pool. Pro-bike shop on-site. Games and activities at the hotel twice daily plus mini-disco in the evening (seasonal) followed by cabaret/quizzes but quiet by 10.30pm. Shaded bar area serving snacks throughout the day. (Didn't use the restaurant so can't comment.) Pool table (2 euros), video games, internet access, free table-tennis near the lobby. WiFi in the room but very slow. We really enjoyed our stay and may well return next year.

Attractive light airy hotel

Posted 05-Jul-2015
We stayed here as a last minute hotel to visit my family in the port. It was the cheapest hotel and was a pleasant surprise! Friendly staff. Fun swimming pools. Rooms like travel lodge in UK. Not luxury. Not by the beach. But not far. Vibrant restaurants and bars not far away! perfect for me!

Exactly what you require from a break

Posted 05-Jul-2015
Exactly what you require from a break, good hotel with good amenities, in a quiet location 5 minutes from the the beach. We were celebrating our 30 year anniversary and the hotel receptionist Alex (excellent service) upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment with separate, kitchenette , bathroom and a living room with a balcony overlooking the various pools great view by day and night. Very familyfriendly. The walk along the beach towards the harbour and square is full of excellent places to eat and drink, the square in particular is a must for the variety of restaurants, And for a cocktail with live music we would recommend the lemon lounge. Puerto Pollenssa a great place not at all rowdy would go again tomorrow.

Great location in a lovely quite resort.

Posted 07-Jun-2015
Pros: Clean, quite and great location.
Cons: Bin in kitchen and washing up liquid/cloth could have been provided. Would rather that than the small shampoo and bath gel given.
Location: Tolos resturant, absolutely stunning food.
Rooms comfortable, basic but all you need. Pool area lovely, clean with plenty of sunbeads and umbrellas. Brill for all ages of children. Not to overcrowded and noisy, good variety of ages. Has a lanes pool if you require and a spa (we didn't use either though) Less than 5 mins walk to the beautiful beach. All flat walking into the town so great if your pushing a pram or wheelchair. Good choice of resturants in town.

Excellent hotel with facilities for all the family

Posted 02-Jun-2015
Pros: Choice of facilities for all the family - pools for the children, 25m pool and bike hire
Cons: The rooms were a little bit tired and door to the balcony were a bit difficult to open. It does need a bit of a refresh.
Location: You could see the sea from the pool area and was located a couple of blocks from the beach. Lovely safe, sandy beach and the quieter end of the town.
Fantastic hotel which was perfect for our young family, with family friendly pools. This was their first holiday on a plane and was a success all round. The girls loved the daily entertainment throughout the day and evening. The buffet breakfasts were lovely and fresh, with plenty to choose from each day. My husband made use of the bike hire facilities and had some fantastic cycle rides through the hillsides. I used the 25m pool which was heated and there was also a fully kitted gym and spa. We would definitely stay again.

Disabled unfriendly

Posted 30-May-2015
Pros: The peaceful settin
Cons: The disabled facilities although you have made a start as I saw room 17 which I thought was super
Location: The port and surroundings clean and tidy aund safe although some of the cyclists visiting were rude and thoughtless
Room 233 was clean and tidy but the step was very difficult for me as I am disabled and cannot walk up stairs due to a knee replacement which still not right long walk from the lift Staff very friendly and helpful Juan the night porter was especially so as I needed his services on the first morning I had to go to dialysis in Inca to translate the information to the ambulance driver my heartfelt thanks to him I first visited your hotel in the late eighties early nineties when I worked for global holidays part of inter sun I was reservation supervisor in the UK and my director was Hugh Morgan I hope too visit again Norma baldwin
