Cosy Heritage Cottage in Newstead, Central to Daylesford, Maldon & Castlemaine

"We had a great stay for the night at this lovely cottage with our dogs. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, the backyard was a nice space to relax as well. Pretty close to Castlemaine and Maldon. The little touches of coffee, cereal and biscuits were appreciated."

"What a beautiful place to stay and unwind on a girl's weekend! The house was beautifully decorated giving every space that warm and inviting feel, luxurious without being overdone. The grounds are beautiful with clever planting close to the deck encouraging animals and birds to come close. Kangaroos and their joeys, rosellas, bell birds and many others. Every bedroom had wonderful floor to ceiling windows with a picturesque scene to wake up to. The larger of the two lounge areas was set up around a stunning open fire-place with comfy couches that were just perfect for a glass of wine and a catch up on a wet afternoon! The kitchen and dining spaces were well designed and would equally work for a larger or smaller group. Our host Damien was there to greet us and show us around and had thoughtfully already set the fire up and spoilt us with a lovely bottle of pinot and box of local goodies! The smaller lounge area was still generous in proportions and perfect for the morning sun, a board game or a quiet read. While just 10 mins out of the heart of Daylesford, the drive through the forest to get there set the tone for this very tranquil setting. We loved it and will be back! Thank you Damien for all the little touches that made this a really special place to stay."

"Had a lovely weekend. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything needed. Great deck to soak up the sun with a cuppa and only a few minutes walk to the main street for coffee and good food!"

"Had a lovely time. It's in a small town but has everything you need. The house is fantastic, amenities, space, loved the fireplace, and the backyard for my dog. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when I want a quite peaceful place to stay."
