We stayed at several places on the way to Chicago on Route 66 and when we got to Chicago, we’re looking for a place to head back and we found this place and it was the cutest little Homie place made you feel so homey and. Just a little touches they added we’re just so comforting."

"I don’t even know where to start. My experience was exceptional. Many thanks to Salvatore — he treated me like a family member or a close friend. I was genuinely heartwarmed when he brought me some delicious honey to try. As I mentioned, I had an absolutely fantastic stay in his 2-bedroom apartment. Everything you need for an extended stay — bath supplies, pillows, linens, spices for cooking, and more — is provided in the apartment. I would also mention the great air conditioning system: despite the apartment’s relatively large size, it warms up or cools down the entire place in minutes. The property is located in a quiet yet historic neighborhood, just a few minutes from Lake Michigan. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk away, and grocery stores such as ALDI are only 2 miles away. There is also a laundry room in the basement of the building, which was always available to me. It was very easy to communicate with Salvatore, and check-in/check-out were easy as well. Overall, I feel that Salvatore invests a lot in creating a great experience for his guests. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos. It was worth every dollar I spent. Highly recommended."

"the tub was nasty and filthy a ring a black ring around the tub and towel. the room wasn't touched at all. the bathroom didn't had property lighting in it at all. the rug was filthy and nasty. the air conditioner was molded inside dusty and dirty. black mold around the room and big cockroach bugs in the room. I want a full refund of my stay I would never visit a filthy motel this filthy motel ever again."

"Absolutely horrified with the experience I had with this host. First and foremost I want to start this off by saying, I had a good time, and the place is very spacious and is almost mostly like how it seems on the listing. However, there were many faults to this house as I mentioned to the host. The upstairs closet door was not properly placed or put on, and when I went to try to open it to place my belongings, it quite literally collapsed on top of me. Brought it up to the host and they tried to make it seem like it was an accident and that I broke it. Insane. I booked it for 9 guests, and all 9 of my guests had issues with ants / and spiders and one of my guests saw a white stain on her sheets as she was headed to bed. So the cleanliness, not all there. One of my guests put a hole in the wall with their carrier as we were leaving and we took full accountability for that and the host instead of communicating just had an email sent over to us with a bill for the repairs needed for the wall and other things that were not our fault. So dissapointed that they took advantage of that unfortunate situation to try and blame us for other things. When I brought it up they used incredibly unprofessional wording such as “stop the press” “move around” told me to come over and fix it. Absolutely insane. Oh also! Let’s not forget them boasting saying they gave us a great place for my “little money” HA! If you want a ghetto fabulous host this is definitely the place for you! "

"Clean room, worn beds that creak a lot. Quiet neighborhood on the South Side. Theres nothing provide in the kitchen or bathrooms except the appliances and very little silverware as well as towels. Plan to buy toilet paper, paper towels, and buy plastic or disposable utensils. I also plan to grocery shop at one of the three Aldi stores nearby. The house has no views, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Basement felt a bit sketchy for laundry so I rarley felt content. The property served its basic necessities. Thank you!"

"Host was incredibly kind and accommodating! The property was lovely and very spacious. Everything was clean as well. The neighborhood truly was not that bad and had plenty of grocery stores surrounding it and great access to public transit."
