Ça ne vaut pas 97$!
Pas de serviettes ni débarbouillette. Un seul oreiller pitoyablement mince. Attendez vous à vous laver avec votre sous-vêtement de rechange et votre manteau roulé pour rehausser l'oreiller. Pas de couverture ni d'oreiller supplémentaires à disposition. Chambre defraichie et sans charme. Le train passe tout près et siffle longuement en pleine nuit. à 2h30 et 5h00.

Avez-vous demandé au personnel sur place pour tout ce que vous venez d'énumérer? Nous avons des serviettes, des débarbouillettes, des draps et oreillers en plus. Il faut simplement demander. Pour le train, nous sommes en plein centre-ville de Magog et nous ne contrôlons par Transport Canada. Merci.

The Magog Auberge de Jeunesse is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. It is located in a former church rectory with a well-furnished kitchen and spacious dining areas. The staff are first rate, speaking French and English. Special thanks to Anne-Sophie. Breakfast was bountiful. I highly recommend this facility designed to accommodate travelers of all ages at a reasonable rate.

It felt like home. We had everything we needed. Staff is very friendly. It is near restaurants and stores. We loved the café in the hostel and sitting on the porch!

It is a really nice and small youth hostel. Staff is helpful and understanding. Unfortunately our AC didn't work and there weren't enough parking spots available. However we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to all other visitors of Magog.

Thank you very much Janka! So sorry your AC did not work and hoping you talked to the staff about it. As for the parking, for next time, you can park in the streets and it is free. We do offer this service, but if the hostel is full, we only have few places. Thanks again, hope to see you again!

Bonjour Lauren,Bien navré que vous ayez eu un mauvais séjour chez-nous. Nous comprenons que le bruit survenu samedi soir, dans un restaurant à deux rues de notre établissement, vous ait agressé. Cependant, c'était bien hors de notre contrôle... et le bruit s'est bel et bien terminé à 21h30. C'est bien malheureux de se fier à cela pour votre avis.

First and foremost, this is an Airbnb type of property NOT a hotel. No TV no shampoo etc except beddings. Some Airbnb indeed provide TV and shampoo. This property listed as “breakfast” included but we guess what it means is kitchen is available you can buy and cook, except we saw some apple/oranges on the table. The staff was very friendly. No one available when we checked out.

Hi Chuang! Thank you, we do want to offer a good service. Indeed, we are a hostel. Breakfast is served between 7h30 and 10am and it includes bagels, bread, cereals, fruits, oatmeal and eggs. Very sorry you missed it. We do have a TV, but it was unavailable for one weekend since we were waiting for the tech guy. I hope you still enjoyed your stay in Magog!

Expedia lists this property under hotels. It is not a hotel. It is a very nice hostel, but you need to know that before doing your non-refundable booking. You will go down the hall to use a bathroom as you won't have one in your room. There were no chairs in our room and food is not allowed in your room. It was very warm the night we stayed, but our room did not have air-conditioning so it was too warm for us. However - very clean, very nice staff, you can use the kitchen facilities, great coffee at breakfast and an elevator so you don't have to carry your luggage up. This is easily a 5 star hostel, but I thought I was booking an inexpensive hotel room, so my family was not happy about this. Expedia - Please fix the listing so we know what we are booking!!!

If we are easily a 5 star hostel, it would be nice if you correct it here, please. I will do the change and call us "Hostel", but our name on Expedia is well indicated as "Auberge jeunesse". You should write directly to Expedia to make a proper complaint. Thank you!!

If you wanna feel like you’re staying at a college dorm stay here. Horrible! This is not a hotel! The bathrooms are shared! And the breakfast is not breakfast, it’s just a muffin! So don’t advertise otherwise.

Hi Maria! I would like to understand your comment. Yes, our bathrooms are shared and it is stated as so on our website. For the breakfast, we changed it because of covid, but we are slowly returning to a better one. We are sorry you did not like your experience.
