Finally some quiet in noisy Thailand. The Thais seem to think that if things aren't loud they must be boring. The resort is very old and tired and needs work. I tried emailing and calling the location to make arrangments for early check-in so I can at least spend a portion of my morning and afternoon there, but I didnt' receive any response. The lodge doesn't pick up phone calls until 9am; therefore, I never did get a chance to visit the facility. What a lovely place! The rooms have a rustic charn, are clean and well furnished. We opted for the bbq/buffet for dinner which was very nice. The breakfast was buffet style with eggs cooked to order. Also very good. Staff were very friendly even though they spoke limited english. Set in a lovely location but be warned, it does get chilly in the evening so pack a light jacket/jumper.
