Great place for the price

The place is comfortable, the size of the rooms is medium not to big not to small, everything is clean and the bed in confortable. The shower is a plus, has different modes and the water pressure is high. The location is right next to gran via, and it’s a safe street .

We chose Hostal Santo Domingo mainly for its location near Gran Via and the price. We were a little wary on entering as to what we might find as it’s a communal lobby and you have to take the stairs or a small elevator to the second floor. However, we got a friendly welcome at reception and had the nearest room, with a door straight from reception. Our room wasn’t big but was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a couple of nights and a nice little balcony to look out onto the surroundings. The only issue was construction work taking place just outside. It wasn’t really a problem as we were up early both mornings anyway but it would be a problem if you wanted to rest, as work started at 8am.

It’s in a very convenient place, that being said, make sure you are deaf because you can hear everything going outside your room, the shower it’s not made for claustrophobic people. I definitely wouldn’t go back, but it was very good located and very clean I must say!

It is an old hostal, with a mini elevator, the bedroom is half occupied by an obsolete jacuzzi, it must to be eliminated in order to gain in comfort
