Great location and the apartment was in good shape. The only issues we had was during check in when the code provided to get into apartments didn’t work and the lock to get into the apartment was partially stripped, causing additional key manipulation to open the apartment door. Step outside and you are in the middle of Madrid activity. The apartment is cute and very clean. Great shower and a very comfortable bed. Getting into the building was challenging and I would have given it 4 stars for that, but the woman at Charming Concepts stayed on the phone with us the entire time and we were able to get in with her help. Actually the response to all our questions was always prompt. Could use a few extra items like an additional garbage bag, kitchen towel or paper towels. It got a little loud in the alley on the weekend but we pulled the bedroom door closed and it really blocked the noise. Great foods, shopping were only a few minutes walk away. The apartment was clean, modern, and well stocked with basic supplies. The windows face the back of the building which is a small quite stree with no stores or restaurants. The front of the building was on a much more active street with easy access to the market Plaza Mayor and Mercado de San Miguel both with great food. We coul... The central location of this roomy, clean accommodation with a great kitchen is superb. We could do so much on foot or access the nearby metro station or do a short taxi ride to the main train station. And although we were in the hub of things (the Plaza Mayor and Food Market) with a convenient grocery store nearby, the accommodation is relatively quiet as one side faces a quiet less frequented side street. I would definitely choose this place the next time I visit Madrid. Also worth mentioning is the smooth, friendly and helpful arrangement of key pick up and getting settled into our new surroundings.
