"I’ve stayed at Savoy Manila several times over the past few years, including before flights, and this was my first longer stay.
Unfortunately, the initial experience on 7 April fell well below expectations. There were multiple service issues, including a room temperature problem, delays in resolving a room move, and a situation where I was directed into a stairwell with no re-entry, which resulted in me exiting onto the street late at night. This was particularly concerning from a safety perspective.
That said, I do want to recognise how the hotel handled the situation afterwards.
Management followed up, acknowledged the concerns, and offered a complimentary stay. When I returned on 19 April, the experience was noticeably improved — early check-in was arranged, the room was fully prepared, and all previously reported issues had been addressed.
While the initial experience was disappointing, the recovery effort was handled professionally, and the second stay was smooth.
I would recommend the hotel, but with the expectation that service consistency should match the standard they demonstrated during the follow-up stay."
