I got out, walked around, eventually finding the hotel. At the hotel, check-in was poor, I got my car, came back and was met by somebody who, well, did nothing. I joined a long queue of elderly folk settling their accounts, and once at the front, the guy who did nothing then seeks to check me in - after I have waited.... The room had AC, but could only go as low as 19C, so it took a long time to cool, the room was hot & sticky. So sticky I took my shirt off and sat on the bed with my laptop on my knee to work. I could not get the WiFi to work, so had to hotspot via my cellphone. During this time, my naked back was against the bed's headboard which had a foam/plastic covering. When I moved, this stuck to me, peeling off the headboard, I had to scrape it off my back! When I checked out I spoke of these things to the reception.....they laughed at me." Pop sickles or watermelon passed out to cool you while you sunbathe as well as water. Live music every evening. The town itself totally walkable. Wonderful wonderful. The dining room was pleasant, the terrace was very comfortable and everything about the stay was just so welcoming. The rooms were clean and the housekeepers were nice. Honestly for a 3 star they were at the top end. Could not fault them at all. Thank you Giovanni and staff for such a lovely visit.
