"The Renaissance Hotel and Spa is our first choice when staying on Oahu. The staff, room, amenities, and location are fantastic. You’ll love the fresh, clean scent when walking in. Even though it seemed like there were a lot of guests, we barely had to wait for the elevators. The salt water pool is just the right temperature and the hot tubs are the hottest. The sauna is wonderful, and there is a cold plunge (too cold for me). The bidet is fantastic, the beds are wonderful, it is just so comfortable. You don’t hear a sound at night. We usually just walk to Ala Moana, but there is a shuttle. We’ve even considered buying a place in there. It’s outstanding."

"Stay at this property! Seriously — it’s one of the best and most affordable options in Waikiki. I describe it as staying at an “off-property Disney hotel.” 😂 You can literally walk across the street to the Hilton Hawaiian Village and enjoy all the action, restaurants, beach, and Friday night fireworks — but save a ton of money by staying at the Ramada. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was amazing. It was also surprisingly quiet at night, which I really appreciated. If you rent a car, parking is only $30 a night, which is an absolute STEAL for Waikiki. And DO NOT sleep on the Country Market/ABC Store! We ate there several times and saved so much money compared with eating every meal at a restaurant. They have tons of food options, snacks, drinks, and even Dole Whips for only $3.99! Another money-saving tip: there’s a water machine on Level 2, so we just kept refilling our water bottles instead of constantly buying bottled water. The hotel also has laundry facilities, a gym, and a pool. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, affordable place to stay in Waikiki where you can easily walk to the beach and all the action without paying resort prices, stay here. I absolutely would again. The staff is amazing."

"I love staying at the Ala Moana Hotel for its cleanliness, convenience and wonderful customer service. This stay was a little different because I was occupying a room at the hotel, but the room itself is managed by a separate entity. Normally, I stay in a room that is managed by the hotel property. Check in was the same, valet was the same, utilizing the restaurants and shops were the same, convenient location was the same. However, what visitors need to know are the differences. There is no daily housekeeping. Even though a good number of towel sets are provided, if they need extra, they will be charged $30 per set. Toiletries are limited. I was given trial sizes of one conditioning shampoo, one body lotion and one very small bar of soap. No soap or body gel/wash. If there is something wrong in the room, visitors cannot call the front desk for help. They need to contact the company/agency that they made the reservation through and that company will contact the management group to report any issues. Even though there are some slight inconveniences, I still enjoyed my stay."

"The room was advertised online as “All fees included,” but be aware that this does not include the resort fee or check-in fee, which can be misleading. While the resort and check-in fees were mentioned in the agreement, as a customer, seeing “All fees included” gives the impression that there will be no additional charges.I asked the host for clarification, and they pointed out that the resort fee and check-in fee were listed in the agreement. The check-in fee was minimal, but the resort fee increased the overall cost to the point where the rate was no longer as attractive.After my first phone call, I was unable to reach a live person again. I left a message, but no one returned my call, which was quite disappointing.Overall, it was a lesson learned. On a positive note, the room itself was nice and clean."
