"The property was amazing with a lot to explore. The walkways around pools needs repairing. They rake the sand flat every night which was the best section of beach in Waikīkī! The rooms are nicely upgraded but bring earplugs as the a/c sounds like an airport was built in them. Good food offerings that are nicely presented, but over the top expensive. Be prepared to raise your credit card limit. Tropics restaurant needs to buy some condiments. Does anyone really want a dry hamburger? We had an amazing 8th floor Diamond Head/ocean view in the Rainbow Tower, but be prepared to open your billfold as well! Overall we gave it a 9/10 and would stay again."

"Your stay at Ilikai Hotel sounds like exactly what people hope for when visiting Hawaiʻi. Being so close to the beach, with a perfect view of the Friday night fireworks, plus live Hawaiian music and entertainment, really makes it stand out. The convenience is a huge bonus too—a straight route from the airport and easy walking distance to Ala Moana Center. What truly elevates the experience, though, is the staff. From the front desk to the bellmen, valet, and housekeeping, the service clearly reflected that genuine “Aloha Spirit” that people often talk about but don’t always find. It’s the kind of hospitality that brings back the feeling of how things used to be across the islands. Given that this was a quick overnight trip from Las Vegas for a difficult occasion, it’s especially meaningful that your stay turned into such a positive experience. That kind of care and warmth can really make a difference."

"Room view was amazing. Very clean and luxurious. Only reason i put one star less because there is no access to beach, its a 5-10min walk alongside harbour. Location of hotel is at the end of the strip which is a 20-25 min walk to center of strip. "
