The Wonderful covered terrace for the guests’ exclusive use is reachable through elevator located in the building staircase just outside the apartment’s main entrance plus a short flight of steps which makes it ideal for at home dining with a chef and his staff.The neighbourhood is where you will find the legendary Anfiteatro and many of the city’s most famous architectural attractions. Make sure you have a camera with you all the time, especially when admiring the streets surrounding the apartment, as you will find Via del Fosso with its medieval water stream passing by the antique gates dating back to 1100s, Piazza San Francesco horned by its white Carrara Marble Romanesque façade and Lucca Train Station within 7 mins walk away plus a safe parking 5 mins walk as well. And, if you are hungry, you will find incredible Italian restaurants in every corner, but a great place where to start it is the Giglio One Michelin starred Restaurant or Gli Orti di Via Elisa. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: We think it is important to make known that during the summer months, from the end of June to September 5, in the park of the villa in front of the apartment (not exactly in front of the apartment but inside the park) an auteur film festival is held therefore films will be screened in the evening, also in English, and the screenings begin around 9 pm and end around 11.30 pm. Lucca is easily accessible from this apartment. We had cooking classes there and the staff that arrived found it easy to work in. We loved our stay at this apartment! It was a beautiful place and an incredible location. Walkable to most things including the train station. We had plenty of space for 4 of us. The apartment is well furnished , comfortable and clean. The roof top is a bonus. Lucca is a great location with good train connections. Eight of us stayed at this apartment. We all had a great time. Sonia was a right host, the view was worth the flights of stairs. We sat on the balcony looking over the rooftops every night. It is a beautiful apartment. I agree with all the reviews posted here! We loved Lucca and highly reccommend the apartment! From the apartment itself, to dealing with Simona, to being greeted by Sonia and learning about his family home, all made our stay in Lucca perfect! The apartment is lovely and spacious. The kitchen made cooking in a treat! Having such an impressive home at our disposal was a definite plus! The apartment is beautiful, well appointed, spacious and ideally located. The living room is tastefully decorated taking full advantage of the views of the gardens of Villa Bottini right next door. A full-size kitchen and 6-seat dining table made casual meals easy, although there are a plethora of amazing restaurants, cafes and gelaterias with a block of two. Our stay in this apartment was a wonderful experience. The location was perfect. Being in the center of Lucca close to the public transportation and having everything we need close to the property worked well for us. We were able to access many sites within an easy walk. The owner of the apt. couldn't have been more helpful. The outside deck provided exquisite views of the garden and plenty of natural light. The apartment was beautiful and more than we expected. The tile floors are amazing, the living room is very spacious with plenty of seating and the bedrooms are all comfortable! We especially loved the windows and shutters. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the rooftop terrace most evenings and watched the sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed and I learned to make Moka there. Even bought a pot and frother! We were a party of 8 adults, staying in the Park View Apartment and it was like staying in a mansion, it was so big and every thing that we needed. Very comfortable and gave us a week of total relaxation and room to move. The staff couldn't do enough for us, and the apartment was equipped with tea coffee jam that Simona had made and biscuits all the basics you didn't need to buy straight away. We had the facility of bikes to ride and Lucca was a wonderful place to add to our holiday destination.
