The views of the large windows give light to the rooms and look at an ancient church, now used for art exhibitions and classical music concerts, and the Piazza del Suffragio where the Luigi Boccherini music school is located, from which it is possible to listen in the background for several hours of the day enjoyable classical music. The apartment has a beautiful terrace where you can read, have a drink or eat in absolute silence in a historical and suggestive scenario. It is an apartment particularly suitable for people who seek tranquility, elegance and love to be immersed in art, however it is just a few minutes away from the main shopping street, typical restaurants, groceries, historic ovens and pizzerias, pharmacies, theater, and churches open for exhibitions and concerts. Access to the house is from a private garden on which there is a rare walnut tree that offers a pleasant shelter from the hottest hours of the day as well as a view of the greenery. The apartment is equipped with complete linen and once a week cleaning will be provided. "CASA OLIMPIA" is a bright first floor apartment of 85 square meters for two people reached by a few external stairs that cross the private garden. The apartment is equipped with WI FI, air conditioning, independent heating and two bicycles for guests. The furnishings are treated in detail. Natural fabrics, vintage prints and design objects were chosen. The predominant color is ivory, the wooden floors. The apartment has coffered ceilings in typical Lucchese wood, very high, large windows with splendid views and offering lots of light. A library has been created from an ancient stone portal. The apartment consists of a comfortable kitchen in wood and Carrara marble and equipped with an electric oven, microwave, five-burner hob, fridge with freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and complete accessories. The living area consists of a large sofa, two comfortable reading armchairs, an antique dining table with 4 seats, a 42 ”flat screen TV, decoder and DVD. This area is communicating with an enchanting terrace equipped for pleasant breakfasts or dinners in absolute privacy. The bedroom is large with a king-size double bed, two bedside tables, sliding wardrobe and a large mirror. In the bathroom there is a large shower with glass door, sink, toilet, bidet and an antique cabinet. Other closet in the hallway and washing machine. The atmosphere of this apartment is very romantic. The apartment is located just minutes from the cathedral, the historic walls of Lucca, the Guinigi tower, the Amphitheater square and the main shopping street. The apartment is equipped with complete linen. In winter € 5 per day will be required for the use of heating to be paid on arrival. This apartment will make your stay in Lucca an unforgettable vacation. For any doubt or particular request, do not hesitate to request. It’s in a great location within the historical centre, but also very quite. We had coffee in the mornings out on the terrace and slept great in the evenings thanks to the air conditioning. We had great communication from Lorenzo our host throughout our trip. For a true Lucca experience, we highly recommend a stay here, you won’t be disappointed. We provided our host, Lorenzo Satti, our arrival time and he was waiting for us. Lorenzo toured the apartment with us letting us know how to operate everything. The apartment has 3 large rooms (Living/dining room, bedroom, and bathroom) plus a small decent size kitchen including a washing machine. The living room and bedroom have room air conditioners. Apartment is next to a classical music studio supplying nice music, if you leave the windows open. We stayed 7 nights and the apartment is centrally located and easily could get to any point inside the Lucca walls within a 20-minute walk. Walking from the train station outside the Lucca walls took us 20 to 25 minutes but we would recommend taking a taxi to and from the train station, especially if you have large luggage. The furniture is very comfortable and located in a very quiet neighborhood at night. I highly recommend this apartment along with Lorenzo, a helpful host. We intend to recommend this apartment to our 400-member community travel club at our next monthly meeting. ##### John R. The location is very good. The photos are accurate but the furniture is a little worn and the kitchen is fully functional but a little dated. It would be nice to have a coffee table and a small drink table between the chairs, and not one or the other. There are a few minor issues that guests should be aware of. There is one flight of stairs to get up to the apartment door. Also, the washing machine washes clothes but there is no clothes dryer, so plan on allowing some time for them to dry. The apartment has very limited provisions for guests, so plan on supplying your own coffee, shower supplies and laundry pods. Lorenzo graciously picked us up at the Pisa airport, but fully charged for that service. Finally, there is a music school nearby, resulting in significant rehearsal noise from about 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. That may not be an issue for most guests who will be out and about during those hours. Having said all of that, we would probably stay here again. A few minor owner upgrades would make it five star. ##### Martin P. We are an elderly couple and communicated with the host that we would need assistance with our luggage up to the apartments 2nd floor level. The host communicated back that he would meet us at check in. At the last minute he said he was unable to meet us and that he would send his eldery mother who could not assist and did not speak any English. Most of the time the cell signal was so weak we had to leave the apartment and go to the square across the street to get a signal. The WIFI signal was non existent. again, you have to leave the apartment to go to the Square to do any research for what to do in Luca and or restaurants to attend. The host said the Wi-Fi was probably due to a recent storm and should come back on in a couple of days which it did not. The host never attended the apartment to see if he could resolve the problem. Our only negative issue was the unit had not been occupied for several days prior to our visit so the AC had been off. Due to the high temperature outside it took 2 days to cool the unit down. It would have been nice if the AC had been on prior to help with this. In the mean time a fan would be useful. Since we did not ask for one we can not say if one would have been provided. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. No one can control a heat wave. If needed, Lorenzo replied immediately. ##### Kathy M. It was spotlessly clean. The apartment was beautiful, the area was safe and wonderful. We were next door to the music school and we could sofly hear the violins and piano music. The people in Lucca were very nice. Our host, Lorenzo was very helpful, and had a nice, local bottle of wine fur us upon arriving. The only negative is that you have to park outside of the wall, and it is a little bit of a hassle walking back and forth to your car. But, other than that, all was great. Best experience Me and my friend Bonita, from Florida stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment and it was truly just like the photos! What an amazing location, right in the heart of Lucca. The apartment is tastefully decorated and features high ceilings, gorgeous architectural details and every modern amenity. This home is fully equipped. We wish we had booked a longer stay. Being met by Lorenzo who hopped in our car and directed us to park within the walls so we could take our luggage - with his help - to the apartment. Lorenzo was charming, informative and could not do enough for us. He detailed everything within the apartment very thoroughly. He checked during our stay by email and also recommending restaurants. The apartment was squeaky clean and so tasteful - we hardly wanted to go out and explore as felt so comfortable and at home. Everything was supplied - umbrella, washing machne, books, CDs, a bottle of wine, some oils in the cupboard, tea/coffee. It was an extremely quiet area right next to Music School which was wonderful as strains of cello and piano and French horn or was it bassoon came floating through our windows. Lorenzo organised a taxi for us to go to station after 7 days stay and that was efficient and reasonably priced.
