The building and garden are charming and the interior design is elegant. The furniture was comfortable. The apartment itself was well decorated with very nice furniture. The beds were very comfortable with lovely bed linens. The bathrooms were updated and very clean. The kitchen/dining area was more than adequate and very well stocked with nice dishes and plenty of utensils. Having outdoor space is great and the courtyard here was outstanding. Beautiful trellises and we were fortunate to see an abundance of cream colored roses. The whole property is well cared for and maintained. Casa Vanny is very well located and the management is very responsive. Additionally, the location was convenient and fantastic for getting anywhere within the walls, steps away from shopping and restaurants. My only comment is that the apartment had a significant number of stone stairs throughout the space, which made it a bit challenging for our toddler and would be challenging for an older individual. The apartment is really a chance to experience authentic Italian luxury living! It looks exactly like the pictures - beautiful furniture and tasteful decoration everywhere inside a historic Italian house, almost like a film set. The place is quiet spacious and can easily accommodate 4 people. The view is a bit limited by surrounding buildings, but still very nice to sit outside on the spacious garden. Overall it was very quiet and you have a high level of privacy. Location in Lucca is also great, because it is away from the busier center. We parked at Parcheggio Palatucci Parking (1€/hour 8-20h) which is 7min walking. Since Lucca isnt too big, everything is in walking distance anyway. In the morning go to Cafe Ristretto, in the evening Trattoria Canuleia. The photos make this place look stunning, and they don't do it justice. Located within a tranquil, beautiful courtyard (as part of the booking), the living space is clean, spacious, very comfortable, and chic. The connected kitchen space is very well equipped (you'd struggle to think of anything you need that isn't there), as well as looking fresh and modern. Both bedrooms have a huge amount of storage space, large comfortable beds, and are decorated sensitively and stylishly. The larger has an ensuite toilet room. There are two bathrooms - the first has a deep bath, plus a walk-in shower, and the second is a shower-room (off the mirrored area with the writing desk - the mirrors hide the washing machine and other equipment) with a very large walk-in rain-shower that can fit at least three people. Perfect apartment for 2 couples. The elegant apartment was terrific, beautifully appointed, and very clean. It was generously stocked with wonderful toilettries, bathroom necessities, and kitchen supplies. Bedrooms were very comfortable in terms of linens, bedding, temperature. The photos on the Lucca Apartments and Villas website truly represent how attractive the apartment is. Note that there are stairs that separate the rooms. The apartment is in a great location within the walls of Lucca - very private, but close to everything. We felt very safe in the apartment and its surrounding area. The private garden was exceptional - charming, lovely - with fruit trees, trellises, seating areas. One of our favorite things was to listen to the water fountains, the birds, and piano music from the other apartments. The staff who greeted us and followed up with us during our stay were extremely nice and helpful. The apartment was wonderful, with a dreamy garden. Manuel was super responsive, and even helped us pay a parking ticket after we left. Just outside of the hustle and bustle of the interior tourist area, this apartment is wonderful to return to. The garden is stunning! It had both old world charm with all the modern conveniences. The garden was magical. We spent our 45th wedding anniversary here and, as is our custom every 5 years, renewed our vows under the arch near the fountain. We could not have asked for a more perfect spot. The location is within an easy walk to restaurants, cocktail bars, shopping, etc. The home and the customer service were top notch. We were surprised that we were expected to purchase basic supplies like bags for the various waste baskets. That is not something we've experienced before. This apartment was something special and ordinary! The pictures were very correct and the environment of the apartment and the lovely garden is just “wow”! We definitely felt like home and we could feel that they really take good care of the apartment. The garden was lovely. Perfect for breakfast and afternoon dining/drink in the sun. Lucca was our most favorite place in all of Europe that we saw and this place was in the best location. The big garden was amazing, loved the lemon plants and the furniture were incredible.
